We have been told over and over again the it is fundamentally important to believe the victim. It is important to believe the victim. Now we are aware of who that really was, but based on what we knew and what we were given it is understandable that a lot of people believed what they were fed, that she was the one who needed support and recognition.

What’s important now is to focus on how we move forward.

New information has come to light and now that we know more our reaction can be more informed. It can’t be taken back what was done and the support that was given to the wrong party, but shaming and blaming people for doing what they believed was right won’t help. What should happen is that we take it on board and act accordingly, as we did before.

We don’t let it be silenced and we don’t let it be swept under the rug, if he has proved his innocence then we uplift that news and bring that to peoples attention. We make the real truth known.

The best course of action now is to rectify the situation, support the victim as best as possible, and hold the abuser accountable.

It is not to blame, guilt, and manipulate others for doing what they believed was right with the limited information they were given.

Now is a time to hopefully rectify a bad situation.

Of course, we never want to ignore or deny what people have done. We dont want to be complicit in ignoring the sufferings of the victims of occasions of abuse and violence. But “cancel culture” is so fucking TOXIC because look at what the public has done! Because Amber accused Johnny of these things, not only has Johnny’s mental and physical health suffered but so has his reputation, career, and livelihood. People were boycotting any movie that he was in just because he was in it. People were harassing him both online and in public, degrading him and compromising not only him through the boycott of his films but also doing this to the detriment of every other actor who worked with him.

Boycotting a person’s films, in particular, doesn’t just affect one person. Boycotting Crimes of Grindelwald didnt just affect him, it affected everyone else that he worked with. Eddie Redmayne. Ezra Miller. Zoë Kravitz. Alison Sudol. Jude Law. Katherine Waterson. Dan Fogler.

Everyone was so ready to accept Amber’s testimony just because it’s something that we see everyday now. Even when the police were doubting her story, people still “cancelled” Johnny just because she had made the allegation. Amber’s actions are EXACTLY why people dont believe abuse victims when they come forward. They are EXACTLY why so many of the women who participated in the #MeToo movement never came forward to begin with, a movement that she bandwagoned on in an effort to further her career.

Johnny Depp has just produced a massive list of evidence including 87 surveillance videos, 48 witnesses, photos of his injuries, 14 depositions & sworn declarations proving that he was abused & set up by his wife. There are even statements by Amber Heard stating she abused Johnny Depp.
