Tho I don’t want to say other people’s interpretations are wrong, I’m fairly certain Medic really loved his job. Especially with all the science how much respect he got from the team. 

Seriously, in Meet the Medic they’re literally queuing up to be part of his breakthrough experiment. They know he’s a bit of a scatterbrain and a little dangerous sometimes but they respect his skills and know how smart he really is.

So when the team disbanded and everyone went home he was a little stuck because he didn’t want to give up the first real respect he got since he lost his license. He joined up with the next team that came along and expected to be treated in the same way: Highly respected

But he wasn’t respected. Not even a little bit. Personally, I think that all the Classics, because they fought in ww2, hate any and all Germans. They wouldn’t have put the effort in to find out that Medic probably hates Nazis more than they do.

He probably didn’t even realise how poorly he was treated because he was just so glad to be doing his experiments, and the Classics weren’t expecting to get filled with random organs and didn’t try to stop him 

it probably really hit him when he brought back Sniper and Archimedes and Cheavy screamed in his face. Cheavy was so after his own gains and hating on people who didn’t follow orders that he didn’t even stop to think that he had a guy who could bring the dead back to life Right There on his team. 

It’s even better when you think about how Desperate he was for immortality and yet when the guy smart enough to do that showed up he was just a stinky ape who refused to be nice.

Meanwhile Medic’s just standing there thinking: “This wouldn’t have happened on my Team.” Especially if you compare how Heavy treats Medic in the same comic.

So he turned on them and returned to his teammates and friends

I think I have found the perfect Halloween costume for Spy.
