The Ultra’s are proving to be one the most comfortable chainsaw boots on the market today.

The Petzl Zigzag has now made it's third entry into the market and now hopefully and finally Petzl have cracked it, (excuse the pun).

Petzl have really beefed up the Zigzag from it's original one which hit the market in 2012 making the metal around the carabiner which attaches to the rope a lot thicker and also putting rubber inside to stop carabiners from cross loading.

The link at the top has now been thickened to prevent any cracks which have been the achilles heel of late. 

The Zigzag is an Ascender/Descender and when in use with a rope of around 11.5mm it works wonders. It has to be in our opinion the easiest mechanical device to cross over to from say a prussik loop or split tail, once it's on the rope, that's it, no adjusting, no tending knots, just pull down on the rope to ascend and to descend press down on the links.

Coming in at around £180 inc VAT the Zigzag is worth every penny and will last you a long, long time making it value for money.
