Two Ways to Help Out at Skyhold Press!

As we're getting closer to opening moderator applications for the "Dragon Age: Inquisition Community Zine" (the interest check will be closing tomorrow!), I wanted to chat about the mods roles!
While there will be moderator applications specifically for the zine, there will also be opportunities to join Skyhold Press more generally.
"But... aren't those the same thing?" Not quite!
Zine Moderators:
These are the lovely people helping organize a specific zine project!
That can include things like:
Reviewing contributor applications
Helping with schedules and deadlines
Keeping everything organized
Answering contributor questions
Planning the project alongside the rest of the team
Generally making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible
It's a project-based role, and naturally a bit more involved while the zine is active.
Skyhold Press Moderators:
This is a little different!
Rather than helping with one specific project, Skyhold Press moderators help keep our little corner of Thedas running throughout the year.
Maybe you love organizing prompt weeks. Maybe making bingo cards sounds like your idea of a good afternoon. Maybe you're the kind of person who enjoys brainstorming event ideas, writing prompts, managing Discord, making graphics, or keeping community spaces welcoming!
Maybe spreadsheets bring you an alarming amount of joy! (Joséphine, I'm looking at you.)
There isn't one single "job description" here. My hope is to build a small team where everyone can contribute in the ways they enjoy most.
You don't have to run every event, don't have to know how to organize a zine. And you certainly don't have to say yes to every project!
The goal is simply to have a group of lovely people who enjoy creating things for the community together.
Some people might only want to help with a yearly gift exchange. Someone else might love designing prompt wheels. Another person might enjoy writing news posts or scheduling Tumblr updates!
And that's perfectly okay!
Why have both?
Because not every project needs the same people or the same skills!
A zine has its own workflow. A prompt week has a completely different one. A bingo event doesn't need the same planning as a gift exchange.
By having both project-specific moderators and a broader Skyhold Press team, I hope we can create all kinds of fun events without expecting everyone to do everything!
It's a little more flexible, a little less overwhelming, and hopefully a lot more fun!
I'm really excited to start building this little team too, not just for the zine, but for everything that comes after it.
