OTP: Liane x Sharon

EXPLAIN: While they don't have any interactions that are very meaningful, I think they have such great potential. Liane is trying to improve herself as a person and is INCREDIBLY lonely, she has no close friends or family and has spent years projecting this onto Eric. Sharon is in a unhappy marriage and both her and Randy have cheated on each other countless times, she has to be a babysitter to Randy more often than not. Sharon also seems to be quite lonely as well, even if to not the same degree as Liane. I feel like if they took the time to actually get to know each other, they'd actually be pretty good friends that could help each other improve their lives. Sharon is mature and logical, she's vocal about her beliefs and doesn't let people walk all over her. Liane is sweet and overall has good intentions, but she's susceptible to be taken advantaged of.

Sharon could help Liane learn how to be a better mother and an overall more successful person, even helping her find jobs (or maybe even getting her a job at SHARON'S job via recommendation). While Liane has been doing a pretty good job improving on her own, she still has tendencies to cave into Eric and Sharon could 100% help her learn to be way less of a doormat. Liane could help Sharon learn to let loose since Sharon is a very emotional person. I feel like they could give each other stability that they couldn't find in their previous relationships, I think Sharon would be loyal if she was in a relationship that actually made her happy. I think Sharon could also help Liane learn how to love somebody without equating love with sex, and even though I personally think Liane has self destructive tendencies, she'd probably be better after realizing how serious Sharon is about their relationship.

I don't think Liane is still a player, especially not in the later seasons, which really helps their progress. What I think they collectively would learn from one another is how to deal with loneliness even when they're surrounded by people. With enough time, I think they could learn to be happy together even if they start off pretty messy (in my interpretation, their relationship starts off as an affair).

MOST LIKED: Bebe x Wendy

EXPLAIN: Friends to lovers is a really fun dynamic if written well, and I think these two have potential to be a really interesting pairing. They obviously are best friends and care about each other, they're always with each other whenever Wendy's not busy with the main gang, but Bebe is shown to be willing to sell Wendy out if she gets something she wants in return. I think these two would have a very Jennifer Check/Needy relationship going on, which is great because I adore Jennifer's Body (one of my fav movies). Though, Wendy is absolutely not a pushover, I think she's just a little weaker when it comes to Bebe.

I think Bebe would fall first, but Wendy would fall harder. In my eyes, their friendship was bumpy but overall healthy, but once they start dating is when they have actual issues. I think this is one of those relationships where they should've stayed friends, and that's something that I really want to delve into with these two. Wendy is canonically a jealous type and I believe Bebe is as well, but whereas Wendy has mellowed out throughout the years, I think Bebe has only gotten worse. If it's not obvious, I think Bebe is the main perpetrator in this relationship. Wendy clearly has more of a sense of justice than Bebe does which helps. But I also think Wendy regresses as a person when she is with Bebe, both in a sense of she has less self respect and in that she does more impulsive things without thought (which is uncharacteristic for her).

However despite the unhealthy nature of their relationship, I think they become too attached to one another to let go. Not only because of how long they've known each other and their status as best friends, but also because of their past relationships. Stan and Wendy would break up constantly, Wendy always felt herself wanting more when she was with him and never felt truly desired. Clyde and Bebe most likely also had a cycle of breaking up, especially with Clyde's tendency to cheat, although their end offs were most likely more nasty than Stendy's due to Clyde being a selfish jerk and Bebe being a jealous control freak. I think they get attached to each other because they finally give each other what they were missing in their previous relationships, just in the worst ways possible.

Wendy feels seen and heard, she's given all the affection and attention she could want, but that comes with a price of not being fully respected. Bebe gets a sense of security knowing Wendy is loyal to her, which makes her get greedy and Wendy keeps giving into her even when she shouldn't. Their relationship is a very push and pull dynamic in my interpretation, and that's why I love them so much.

MOST NEUTRAL: Wendy x Eric

EXPLAIN: I can absolutely get behind this ship for the most part, it just doesn't really speak much to me. I think a huge part of the appeal for this ship is the fact that Eric can actually learn a lot from Wendy, as well as the fact that Eric most likely had a crush on Wendy in that one episode. It's a pretty popular theory that Eric started being so terrible to Wendy because he began to resent her for rejecting him, which I agree with. But Wendy playing with his feelings was absolutely not intentional, though that doesn't mean the kiss wasn't selfish as she only did it for her own personal gain with no regard for how it made Eric feel.

But that was before Wendy made progress as a person, so I don't think she would pull a move like that in the modern seasons. Not at all. In fact, I think Wendy really values consent in the modern day and put others before herself. But anyway, the main appeal of this ship is that Wendy could help Eric learn to be a better person and maybe even possibly recognized he's being abused by Liane. It's a pretty cute ship overall with a fun dynamic and can work really well in botoh a toxic and a healthy way, I just don't actively ship it.

FLUFFY PAIRING: Victoria x McDaniels

EXPLAIN: I don't have much on these two except I just really like them together, their designs look adorable side by side and I think they'd have a pretty healthy relationship. While they do both have their flaws, they're both pretty levelheaded women with a sense to do what's right (for the most part) and I think they've probably been friends for awhile. Plus, a teacher and a mayor in a relationship just feels right to me.

LUSTFUL PAIRING: Liane x McDaniels

EXPLAIN: While I wouldn't say I 100% ship this in the way I ship the others, I do like it a lot. The appeal for this pairing mostly stems from that one scene in the bar where Garrison says to raise your hand if you've never had sex with Liane, and McDaniels doesn't raise her hand. AKA meaning they've canonically hooked up, and I think that could be really funny but also sexy! I really like the idea of Liane seducing somebody who has so much power in town, it really speaks to me.

GUILTY PLEASURE: Kyle x Eric

EXPLAIN: I know Kyman is one of the most popular ships, if not THE most, but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a little guilty about shipping them! It's really rare for me to like yaoi, but Kyman speaks to me. I won't be writing anything super long for these two like the others because I think they require far less of an explanation. Even if you don't personally ship them, I think to say there's no appeal in their relationship is a lie (romantic or not).

These two are unhealthily obsessed with each other and it's incredibly entertaining. There is a very thin line between love and hate, which I think these two are a perfect persona for that concept. But something that is really special to me about their relationship is that they don't actually hate each other, in fact, they care really deeply about one another and it's showcased in multiple episodes. No matter how much they tease and fight, they'll still always be there for each other at the end of every day. That complexity is the main reason I like them so much!

BROTP: Kyle x Stan

EXPLAIN: While I 100% understand Style shippers, it's just a little boring for me when it comes to a romantic lens. I like them a lot better as the BFFs they are but I also don't care whichever direction their relationship goes. They work wonderfully together and it's so sweet to see how much they love each other, even when they aren't agreeing on something. It's also really funny to me how many episodes there are where it looks like they're a couple that just broke up.

JUST FRIENDS: Stan x Eric

EXPLAIN: They have some fun interactions but I couldn't see them dating, even with Style I could imagine them dating, but not these two. I just don't think they have that kind of chemistry, but if they do to you, more power to you. :3

MOST OVERRATED: Stan x Wendy

EXPLAIN: I don't hate Stendy, not at all, but I don't ship it either. I understand the appeal 100% but I just am not enamored with it. I know a huge reason it's overrated is due to the fact it's canon, but that doesn't change that it is a fact that it's overrated. I also think some people need to recognize that Stendy is a toxic relationship and is not flawless, like a lot of people tend to depict it as. Both Wendy and Stan have issues that they don't really work on together, and there's a reason they've broken up a few times.

MOST UNDERRATED: Kyle x Wendy

EXPLAIN: Before anybody says anything, my love for this pairing has NOTHING TO DO WITH STAN OR STENDY. If it's not obvious, I have a huge bias towards rarepairs and I love exploring dynamics that don't get coverage. I think Kyle and Wendy have huge potential to be really adorable together, they're very similar in personality and I feel like they'd be able to hold really long intellectual conversations with each other. Kyle has a track record in not being able to keep any romantic relationships, but I think he and Wendy could at least hold on for about a week or so. Which would be Kyle's longest relationship. XD

I think Wendy would be able to help Kyle out with his anger issues and savior complex whereas Kyle would be able to give Wendy a sense of security and attention, he comes off to me as a very loyal romantic and so does Wendy. I think both of them being hopeless romantics is part of why they'd work together, but also part of why they wouldn't. They'd both probably have unrealistic expectations for each other, but I think Kyle's issue would be worse than Wendy's because Wendy's had more experience and therefore her view of love is not the same as it may have been a few years ago.

I could also seeing there being a bit of conflict between them depending on how their relationship starts, because regardless if Stan is involved, he is still Kyle's best friend and Wendy's EX. I could see their relationship damaging their personal relationships with Stan and therefore making it difficult for them to continue to love one another.
