To those who were wondering where I went and to those I've never gotten back to: I'm sorry. I know I've left a lot of people hanging, waiting for a reply or a sign of life from me that never came.

In the years of my absence I've had to process the deaths of 2 family members and most recently the death of my beloved cat, and the only way I really know how to do that is to retreat and be by myself.

Everything that built up to those events has worn my stress tolerance thin and my social energy reserves even thinner, resulting in a vicious cycle of constantly needing to retreat to recover, but being plagued by guilt over neglecting messages that just kept piling up higher and higher.

I had to come to terms with the fact that my energy levels just aren't what they used to be, but since I somehow set it in my mind that I have certain expectations to meet when posting online, I ultimately just ended up not posting altogether.

I want to change that by focusing on just posting art again for the time being.
