“Hey,” Sirius drawled, pointing a tipsy finger at the person walking towards (or more likely past) him. “Blurry is a good look on you.”

‘ And being drunk surely is no good look on you.’ Rita commented while banting her eyelashes innocently. ‘ Maybe you should stick to the water, Black.’

I’ll tell you everything. Do you want to spend the night the day in two days? The day after Christmas maybe or any time after that would work. I have a date to the gala!

Oh Ellie? She’s nice. She’s in herbology with me. It’s pretty far out. Nostalgia is something that happens all the time, does it not? Maybe you should go snooping through the rooms of students that are gone?

That sounds relally good to me! I’ll come then! OOOH. Who is it? I’m excited for you, you deserve it.

Nice? Nice people don’t exist anymore, D. That’s just a bloody myth. I tried, but the armors have their eyes on me, it’s stupid. I’d never steal something?

  Ugh. I can’t believe I came to you for help.

 But, you didn’t kicked me out, so...thanks. I promise I won’t ever drunkly come to you.

Perfect. My parents are leaving for a bit after Christmas. So maybe after the Black Gala? I’m sure I’ll have plenty of things to gossip about after that.

I’ll be sure to save you some, though we could always make more when you come spend the night.  Are there any younger years that stayed behind?

“Oh but I would,” he corrects, voice heartfelt and so genuine it almost isn’t. “Anything for you, my dear, but not without a proper incentive. I’m talking dividing territories here.”

Rita narrowes an eyebrow at his words, but gestures for him to go on. ‘ I’m listening, tell me what your proper incentive is all about then.’

“How sweet.” The boy smiles, mimicking the expression and the head tilt. “And how is it going to help me?”

' Isn’t getting everything off your chest enough?’Rita smiled sweetly as she straigthened herself.

Why didn’t you go home for the holiday? If you want you can come stay a night here. Maybe when Silas has his sleepover with Frank?

They don’t sleep around? Who did you get left with?!

No, no news here. I’m making gingerbread houses. That’s the highlight of my day.

Parents are away, it would have just been me and the walls. Though I’d like that! I’ll come whenever.

There are loads of seventh year Ravens, saw some Puffs as well. It’s mostly Gryffindors and Slytherins who leave the castle often, obviously.

Save me some.

        He hadn’t been able to take another day of ice skating and had left Pandora to run out onto the grounds by herself, probably making a snowman or joining in on a snowball fight. He didn’t know for sure, but he knew how much she had enjoyed the Christmas break so far and was glad that she was off still enjoying herself while he sat and brooded. Christmas was not his favorite time of the year and even though he was enjoying his Christmas break at Hogwarts, a letter filled with disappointment from his mother and father had put him in a temporary bad mood.

        The window seat was cold and uncomfortable but he had sat in worse places, so it didn’t bother him. He stared out of it, debating whether to light a cigarette or not, but he didn’t want to sink back into bad habits so quickly, simply because of a letter from people who meant very little to him. One hand still slipped into his pocket though and pulled out his lighter. He began playing with it, watching the flame appear and disappear several times before he heard the suit of armor nearest to him attempt to sing, a sign that someone had walked up to it.

        “You’d think if they wanted the suits of armor to sing carols, they would have taught them all of the words first” he murmured, to himself and to the person he could sense was walking nearby.

‘ The armors are stupid as some frames out here- one was throwing glasses out of the frame just because it’s Christmas and you’re supposed to drink until you drop.’

Rita said disgusted- she bit the inside of her cheek as  she stopped at the corner of the halll; watching the other seating at the window; narrowed eyebrows directed towards him. She knew his friend was here- she had seen her dashing around in the morning, the question was: why was he alone then? Boredom wasn’t exactly a factor she’d ever associate with the blond.

‘ So that’s what you’re doing here? Hiding from the armors?’

   “And you’re worth entertaining…Why?”

‘ I am worth something compared to others.’

Wallace grinned, the look cheeky and full of suggestion. Rita made it too easy. She always did. But then, her reputation had certainly preceded her. “Really? ‘Fall on your back’ impressed? Is that really all it takes?”

Rita had to narrow an eyebrow at him- was he really challenging her? ‘ Now, Wallace- you know that it takes a whole lot for me to fall on my back impressed; you had never managed it.’
