Ready for a beatdown?

when he came across another he practically run up to him in a rush

"Rhyme uh...she my partner, yo. Wearin' a skull cap kinda like mine."

It took him a few more moments to realize that he'd been acting completely irrationally, at which point he sighed.

  "Yeah. Met one a while back, yo." Beat started, then continued, a little more embarrassed, "Saved my ass from some tow up monsta. I didn't know them things was easy ta' get though. Gotta admit, they look pretty badass."

Beat had to admit, it was better than him. All he could do it ride a skateboard, and sometimes he even screwed that up. 

Beat walked up to the other and took a look at the keyblade then held out his hand. He wasn't much for formal introductions but the kid in front of him didn't seem to be the least timid out there so he didn't want to end up knocking him over or something equally as bad. 

No one.

“Ah hell nah. I ain’t no iller-whatever. Them’s fightin’ words.”

Kefka eyed the boy rather skeptically, already rather bored and less than impressed by the show that he was giving. He gave an altogether delicate sniff and waved a snide hand from left to right, disinterestedly dismissing the boy’s apparent attempts to start a fight.

“Uh-huh.” He snorted, incredulous. Then he let loose a nasty cackle and leaned in, making to pat the the other’s head.

“‘Fightin’ words’, eh?!” He repeated, tittering. His tone turned sing-song and mocking. A broad simper split his painted features, revealing all of his perfect teeth.

Unfortunately, Beat was always more of a hothead and didn't quite that through before saying,

"Ya ready fo' a beatdown?"

“Hey you! You seen a girl ‘bout dis high ‘round here?” He made a motion with his hand around his shoulder level.

"She's uh...always mellowed out, neva gets mad a' nothin'. Real smart gal. An' well..."

“What the hell kinda get-up do you got on?”

“Hey… Don’t make fun of my pants, man! You’re the one wearing a…” Ugly khakis? Weird chains? No, that would mean that the chains he wore were weird, too. Damn, why couldn’t he think of a good comeback?

Wait. That weird dangly hat. Better than the stuff the people of Yevon wore, but still weird. It had a skull on it. He could use that against the lowbrow weird kid…

“You’re the one wearing a skullcap, Skull… Kid!”

Beat was not amused. No one went around dissing his hat like that. Especially when it was something he shared in common with his sister. No way. He may not have been the biggest fashion guy, but he was still not someone who let you get away with insulting his style.

"Hey man, dis the latest in Wild Boar fashions. Ya ain't up ta date. Don't insult mah gear like dat, dawg! "

“Y’know. Ya remind me a’ dis Phones guy I know.”

Dammit, man. You's always screwing this shit up.

“Well uh, your hair…Ya jus’ seemed like a Pinky, aight?!”

"Look, I ain't tryna cause nothin', aight? Ya jus' got me uh...nost- nostal-... thinking 'bout a friend a' mine."

He opened his mouth to say something…then promptly closed it not wanting to interrupt.

"Sorry... Ya looked busy."

It seemed that Beat was still unaware of what exactly was going on. He was always slow to catch on. All he could remember was that he was fighting some odd kind of noise that he’d never seen before and then he was here. 

It took a good few moments for the words to click in his mind

"Uh, she's mah partner in da Game, I guess. Like uh, a fightin' partner a' something."

“Yee, uh, where’m I at now?”

“You’re in a place called Moogletown,” He explained in a flat tone, “A lot of people from different places tend to wash up here. You’re not the only confused one, don’t worry.”
