"I got my N64 working and let’s just say I’m pretty damn excited about it."

She wrapped her arms around him in return, a humorless laugh escaping her lips. “Why are you apologizing? I’m the one who screwed up.” With a shake of her head she stepped away from him. “I fucked up and now I keep dragging you through hell because I’m selfish.” Her gaze shifted around the room    she couldn’t bare to meet his eyes. “Sometimes I think you’d be better off if you hadn’t met me.” Way to go, Mariana. You show up at his house unexpected and now you’re turning into a fucking wreck.

"Don't you ever say that.. You were my world and you'll always be very close to my heart because of all the memories we shared and I ---.. I'm sorry that we ended the way we did.. And I want to be there for you, okay? Even if it's not romantically.." He said softly, remembering that he did in fact have a girlfriend.

"Did the do," He chuckled and nodded. He was quite proud of himself. The girl wasn't easy to get into bed, even when she completely shit-faced. Drumming his fingers along the side of the car, Brody smiled, "Aw, that's cool. What?! That's definitely not boring. Babysitting Francis must've been tons of fun and texting me is like.. texting Jesus." Seeing as the 7-Eleven was close, he smiled again, "Let's fuck shit up."

"Why?!"

"I know, I know. I’m sorry. I should have called or something first. Everything’s shit and you’re the only person who’s ever cared and fuck, I just miss you, okay?"

Biting down on his bottom lip, he couldn't get his eyes to reach hers. It would hurt too much. It would hurt to tell her he was trying to move on, that he couldn't do this again, but another part of him needed her. "I'm sorry," He spoke softly, pulling her in for a warm embrace. Even if they couldn't be together at the moment, they had to be there for each other because at one time they were all the other had.

"No, don't get shy! I'm sorry! I'm laughing because that was really cute, don't worry."

"Fuck yeah," Brody laughed, looking over at his best friend, "But I don't think much'll fit under here without my looking like a poofy headed idiot." Biting the inside of his cheek, Brody looked out the window as he listened to Jaxson ask him how his day was. "It was boring, to be honest. I mean, I woke up next to Dakota, so that was interesting, but the rest of the day was boring since I was hungover and tired most of the day. Yourself?" He laughed. He had tried to think of a nickname quickly, but wasn't quick enough.

He couldn't stop laughing.
