EDIT: okay so I have no idea if this actually works. I’d seen someone else say the same thing as the tweet in this screenshot, so I figured it was probably true. After posting it, I tried it and I believe it worked, but I may have made a mistake. A lot of people are saying its false in the reblogs, and some agreeing it works. I’ve seen several sources saying it works, and several saying it doesn’t. If it does work, it’s probably very difficult, given the apparent failure rate – if I did in fact retrieve one, it was an enormous stroke of luck. I’d say unless you live like right next to a pokestop or have unlimited money, don’t waste pokeballs by testing it out and don’t rely on it. As someone who reblogged it said, better safe than sorry. I apologize if I’ve spread misinformation – I still don’t know if this is false, but that was never my intention.
