A striking black-and-white portrait of the legendary High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone, captured in October 1969. The image features Simone in a powerful crouched pose, wearing a dark long-sleeved top and trousers, multiple layered necklaces, including a prominent fleur-de-lis, and her iconic natural afro. A quote in the bottom right corner reflects her philosophy: "Popularity doesn't mean that much to me. Nor does money. Music is my life."
