i was wondering about what ivan's fursona would be yesterday and started drawing a thing of ivan explaining his oc lore and then i stumbled upon this post by @gegengestalt which mentioned
110. One of Ivan's "most stupid" thoughts is being the fat wife of a merchant.
and i was like "AHA!" and thus this was born
idk what circumstances would be required for ivan to reveal this information about his fursona and the way this turned out doesn't fully communicate the "has been rambling on for way too long and has no idea what he's saying anymore" i was going for but

did i remember to mention that perhotin's name also means something when i was talking about funny tbk names. same as rakitin it has the "in" ending making it like... a device or tool for doing something i guess. perho is either synonymous to perhonen (butterfly) or means one of those things you put on fishing hooks as a bait/lure. so his name is like "thing that does fish lure/butterfly -like things" (???) or "thing that makes things into/ more like fishing lures/butterflies"
i think you're supposed to form this type of word out of a verb and there isn't a verb for "doing butterfly/fishing lure things//making things into butterflies/fishing lures" but this makes it sound like there is. which would be "perhottaa". minä perhotan (i am doing perhotus <- that would be the noun version of this verb i just invented) sinä perhotat (you [singular] are doing perhotus) hän perhottaa (they [singular] are doing perhotus) me perhotamme (we) te perhotatte (you [plural {or formal}]) he perhottavat (they [plural])
today on "drawing tbk characters as cringetober prompts" the (randomized) prompt is
"fake anime screenshot"
first thing my mind jumped to was aljoša blushing like crazy because the only two types of characters who blush that much are aljoša karamazov and tsunderes.
i cannot draw anime style i'm sorry this is the best i got. i mean i could've done better on the lineart i suppose but i hate thin black lineart with no lineweight or flow....
ALSO i forgot that they didn't have lightbulbs in households back then so the lighting doesn't make sense i'm sorry 🤦🏻
okay more accurate version. well. the lighting is even more un-animeish. you win some you lose some.

gruša for my "drawing tbk characters as cringetober prompts". the (randomized) prompt was:
"tumblr sexywoman"
was this an excuse to draw woman in suits? no... yes.... maybe....
i was like "what are tumblr sexyMEN like...? they are skinny white men or object heads with bow ties and weird toothy smiles right? uhhhh i'll just make her wear a suit i think". i guess i should've just drawn her as alastor or whatever his name is (no i'm not doing that)
i'm doing a thing where i draw past cringetober prompts with tbk characters because i have free will. feel free to send me requests about specific prompts and characters. (actually please do, i like getting art requests)
i'm using these two specifically. i know i won't have time in october so i'm doing this in the middle of july.
i'm not really much of a shipper especially for 19th century classic literature so i may not draw ships. you can still try your luck i suppose
i'm chronically ill and have a lot of other things i should be doing so we'll see how many i can actually make
feel free to request even ones that seem like they wouldn't work with tbk (like 2024 prompt 27 youtuber fanart), i'll make it work somehow.... maybe.
