The contact with her after all these years was unexpected. Lucas had predicted their reunion to end with his arrest. Normal police officers, he could repel with no issues. Dawn, however, had been his friend before his change of heart. Battling her would be much more difficult, not only due to her pokemon being powerful, but also resulting in their friendship. He was thankful that it didn’t occur the way he’d envisioned it. “I saw many of the things you did. That was why I joined Cyrus…” He’d never admit it, but his loyalty was still to the leader, although a return seemed very unlikely.

She should have arressted him but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Not even to attempt it and allow him to escape, he was Lucas, no matter what clothes he wore or who he was under. He was her friend, through whatever had happened, "...I guess I can understand that on some level, I mean...", she was really trying to understand but all she could see was the Galatic that had tried to unmake their world, even if it was to make a better one, the thought was still terrifying. It came as a shock that Dawn was so quick to forgive. He should be thankful; his siding with Cyrus was easily the worst decision he ever made. "What made you join up with Interpol?
