I used to post a lot in the fandom under the tumblr urls single-malt-scotch (in 2012-2015! got it again!), miaoumc, kurtimac, zedstew, lordwillakers, unico-malte-escoses, and… quite a few more. If you know me, lets forget that you knew me as a teenager ok? <3
i used to write lots of fan fiction too (and i started again recently under the username anonymous-scotch) and have loads of old fan art floating around. i ran/run abdz, no im not saying the whole url. if you know you know lol.
the guys i watch: etho (since 2011), bdubs (since 2011)!!! less so keralis, grian, tango, kurtjmac. i sometimes watch other hermitcrafters when i am interested in new episodes from them.
mcyt i formerly(?) watched: most of mindcrack (started to dwindle at s5), mindcrack UHC (stopped whenever mindcrack s4 was), buffalo wizards/lord of minecraft/DvZ (played on LOM and DvZ - i sometimes play present day DvZ on rawb streams!). Used to specifically be very into kurtjmac, zisteau, vintagebeef, and brucewillakers/rawb back around 2011 onwards. I watch kurtjmac and beef sometimes still...! If we are talking real old, I started with captainsparkles, yogscast/shadow of israphel, antvenom, and uberhaxornova- none of which i watch anymore.

ok sorry for "discourse" about a guy but no one really cares about vechs anymore and i saw his twitter thread last night and im just like... lmao. i need to dump about this
short summary if you dont know vechs: he made some of the most well known CTM maps in minecraft and eventually joined Mindcrack. he often liked to take on the persona of a silly flamboyant villain type which i remember him for very well and often found his behavior annoying or invasive of some people's comfort but... anyways
he posted a thread after the news of Guude's arrest. and MAN. this guy. its really just a huge vent dump about general shit in the minecraft community. had me for a few replies as he talked about some people who harrassed him in the CTM community, or Guude not listening to him. but then i got to this reply and was like oh. nvm
he tried to correct himself at the very end after getting shit for it but you cant say something like this and make it clear where you stand lmao.
plus his complaints about genny and bdubs from way back in the day-- i never want to dismiss behavior for people i like a lot too, but when it boils down to "im autistic so i didnt know how to engage and felt like they were bullying me" is wild. i can argue that 12 years ago the rping they did was a bit edgy but so much of this entire thread starts turning into him being upset at people due to his autism making things hard.
if you know Vechs well enough its not like he hasnt posted dumb shit in the last years so this isnt a shock. but man this thread is so out of touch. posting this in light of Guude's arrest while not really having anything to recount about Mindcrack. its just pure attention in the moment of Mindcrack's name being in the spotlight due to the situation

it's pretty simple: if etho is saying something nice to bdubs, it's psychological torture toward him, and if etho is saying something mean to him, it's flirting. however if etho says something nice on video when bdubs is not present in the scene it's actually nice, and doubly so if it's explicitly or implicitly to bdubs-the-video-watcher. if he's insulting bdubs when bdubs is not present it's an in-joke that everyone else is ignoring while he chuckles to himself bc nobody else pays enough attention to notice when it's funny. which if you think about it is kind of the purest ethubs bc it's kind of for nobody but etho himself.
one can really truly imagine etho and bdubs talking abt their season plans and etho going well you know that game i'd been working on in season 10, i'm kind of feeling like this is the time. and bdubs says well if you need building help just say the word! might even be willing to fix your shoddy redstone when you get stuck, if you treat me right. so etho says uh-huh and then they get sidetracked for like five minutes complimenting/demeaning each other abt their moss farms. but then etho's like but bdubs what's your big project this season. you gonna have time for me? and bdubs talks about the chateau-chalet whatever. that valley's no good for crastles, though. it's got a good shape though! and etho mhms and waits. bdubs admits well i've been thinking for a while, about - remember survival of the fittest? and etho says oh yeah but he means of course. so bdubs says you think it could be possible in vanilla, now? i've been wondering. and etho says i think you could do it. i think you should do it - we don't have any pvp games on the server! when was the last time we had one, really... bdubs waffles; i don't know, what if i can't. it's so big, and we're already this far into the season. so etho suggests like, well, i'll commit to my big project and you can commit to yours. we'll do it together. bdubs says or we'll fail together! and they laugh. it's true. etho says you can teach me how to build good redstone for it. help me out some. bdubs says he'll think about it and then spends his entire fucking episode that isn't about golf saying what he and etho talked about and not showing it. so here we are.
