I keep getting messages in my inbox asking why atheists are so rude (or even worse, “just as rude as religious people”). Any attempt whatsoever to question those assumptions is regarded as proof of the theory.

One of the world’s best-loved operas has been given a radically different ending in Italy, with the heroine killing her tormentor rather than being killed herself, in a stand against violence to women.

In Bizet’s original story, Don José is a naïve soldier who is lured away from his military duties and his childhood sweetheart by Carmen. But she then falls for the handsome bull-fighter Escamillo, driving Don Jose wild with jealousy. The last act of the opera is set outside the bullring in Seville, where Carmen is stabbed to death by Don José.

In what is believed to be a world first, a production of Bizet’s Carmen will see Carmen shoot her thwarted admirer Don José with a pistol that she grabs off him, rather than being stabbed to death by him.

The dramatic departure from operatic orthodoxy is an attempt to shine the spotlight on the modern-day abuse and mistreatment of women, an issue given added resonance by the outrage over the behaviour of Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.

The new version of Carmen will open at Florence’s opera house this weekend, with the first few nights already sold out.

“As far as we know it is the first time that the ending to Carmen has been changed,” the opera house’s Paolo Klun told The Telegraph.

The producers said they had changed the denouement of the story in part to protest at the large number of Italian women who are killed each year by jealous husbands, boyfriends and lovers.

Sociologists and campaigners say it is driven by men feeling threatened by the greater freedoms and enhanced economic independence that many Italian women now enjoy after decades of being seen as pliable possessions.

With horrific cases of domestic violence coming to light almost every month, the directors of the work said they were uncomfortable with the idea of audiences applauding the final scene, in which Carmen is stabbed to death and lies motionless on the stage.

Oh, and the Hunger Games, in which Katniss simply eats every other character in the book. Because she’s hungry.

Now Riffell says he has come up with a way to teach mosquitoes to hate your odor so they leave you alone.

What a shock. For the first time you’re actually right… nah, still wrong. Gender isn’t the same as sex, but they are related in that an XX chromosome defines a woman and therefore her gender is female, same goes for males with XY chromosomes.

Just because they have nothing to do with genitalia or chromosomes doesn’t mean they’re not related.

To reiterate what @astral–nymph said above, transwomen are women and those who say otherwise need to read up on the concept of gender.

And still incorrect. Transwomen are simply fake women made up of men who underwent hormonal treatments to grow boobs and either chopped off their penis or something, whatever it is to give them a vagina.

And yet, their chromosomes will still remain a man’s, therefore HE does not qualify to be engendered as a woman if his biochemistry is male and was born as one.

Um, honey, if you took biology and studied errors in meiosis, just like what I’m doing now, you’d know that so long as a chromosome has a Y, it’s a boy. Otherwise, no matter how many X’s there are, still a girl. Therefore, XXY means a boy, but with Klinefelter’s Syndrome.

Honey, I think that’s a question you should be asking yourself since you don’t even have the decency to even name the condition in which XXY chromosomes occur.

Trans people suffer from Dysphoria. A mental illness that makes them feel repulsed or uncomfortable with their own body, and feel as if they should be the opposite gender. There have also been studies that show a trans man’s brain is similar to a cis males and that a trans woman’s brain is similar to a cis woman’s. I can’t find the link to the study right now, but once I get a moment I’d be more than happy to track it down for you.

So basically, that’s like saying a person with traits for blue and brown eyes, but phenotypically have brown eyes, is a fake blue eyed bitch that will never be brown eyed to you, all because their eyes were originally blue and they changed it to brown.
