For these designs, I made a mask out of clay in the shape of a deformed human face. I photographed it and photoshopped it into these designs.

Beauty = broken | 2016

Latrinalia, a short film I made in 2011 together with two talented friends from university. We started with the idea for a script and decided to participate in a Short Movie Contest. We ended up winning the second prize. The movie takes place in the toilet of a bar/ nightclub, where a variety of people with different stories come together to - without notice - become part of a larger whole where they are making ‘Latrinalia’ (bathroom graffiti) together.

Fotoserie, geschoten met een analoge Olympus OM-2.

Als kind ben ik opgegroeid in een warme, sfeervolle omgeving. Onze huiskamer was ingericht met een ratjetoe aan meubelen in warme tinten zoals rood, bruin en oranje. Schemerlampen gaven de kamer een behaaglijke sfeer. Mijn vader draaide LP's op de platenspeler en 's avonds dronken we thee. Ik voelde me veilig.

Deze gevoelens heb ik proberen weer te geven in deze fotoserie, geschoten in mijn huidige woning, omdat dit de warmte is waar ik steeds weer naar op zoek ben.
