Began some renovation work today; This is the official Twinbrook residence of Veronica and Warren Haywood, and the home where they raised their children. Nestled just outside Twinbrook, the house is perfectly situated for access to both the Woodhaven country club and the road to Bridgeport. How convenient.

Who’s Kenna? Who knows. She’s a student in her early twenties and one afternoon she stumbled upon an ad on Craigslist for a ... Personal assistant. For a horse. She responded and all of a sudden found herself pretty much being paid to treat this horse like her own.

Sweetie’s actual owner, Kenna’s employer, is of course Charlotte Haywood. She’ll stop in every week or so for a short ride, and texts now and then to find out what’s up. Not with the horse - oh no - but with the people. Kenna’s noted she has a specific interest in the dressage trainer who’s here every Friday. But she shouldn’t judge, or pry. She’s busy enough with her own personal life to be bothered with anyone else’s.

To say that getting back into the saddle after all these years was daunting would be a serious understatement. Aria had forgotten just how much work a few hours training every week could be, let alone how damn painful it could be. Hot baths were very much in order to soothe her aches after a long session.
