Music 'n' Books

In last post, I wrote about how I’ve got this book. Now I’ll write something more about the plot. This book is Nobel-winnig author’s, Kaguro Ishihuro, distopian science fiction (book about “dark vision” of future and it’s problems).  Klara, Artificial Friend (AF), which has a very special talent - to observate (AFs- androids which replace real friend in lack of real ones). Klara is chosen by gravely ill teenager Josie. It has to “learn” Josie, because if she dies, android have to “act” her owner. The android tried to talk with Sun to heal Josie. The book writes about problems of social inequality and borders of technology. I think it’s a very interesting book about actual problems of XXIa.

I’ve read one more book. I know, reading books is nothing special, but it’s quite hard to find one to read. One day, I was with my friend. It wasn’t any special day, but I’ve got this book “Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro. My friend’s father borrowed it to me. I’ll write more about in another post.

At least! Yey! After two weeks of reading “Johnathan Strange and Mr Norrell” book. It was a big, around 900 pages, book. I enjoyed it. The first part of the book was written down in my last post. The second part was mainly about Johnathan’s attending in Napoleonic war (a quite fine part). After Napoleon’s defeat he had got back to England and fellt out with his teacher Gilbert Norrell. In search of elven minion and legendary wizard John Asglass, he tried to make himself mad, while he was in Venice. The part of book, which took place in this city was much too long, I think.

And here it goes. A first thematic post! I was waiting to post it. And the first piece of music, wait...no an album or anything it is. Okay “Ukrainian Middle Ages Music” by Traditional music channel on Youtube. I’ve got it when I was scrolling the Youtube to find any Ukrainian music. It was few days after the war there had begun. I saw it is a quite nice stuff. I have a quite good feeling of solidarity with Ukrainians when I’m listening to it. Anyways, this piece is well done not only in this aspect. There are many various-themed compositions in it. There are some solemn or even moody pieces, but we can find some active, battle-like or festive music. I enjoyed it very much, even though these pieces of music are mostly written in later (not Medieval) styles and are played with later instruments. I suggest the Traditional Music Channel on Youtube!
