I made this drabble while doing errands.

Yugi never thought that adult life could be different from what he expected when he was younger. Now 25 years old and a job at Kaiba Corporation as the typical corporate worker, he thought he would have more fun and games instead of sitting in front of a computer all day.
Nevertheless, he didn’t also expect a… visitor to his phone, home devices, and security. An Artificial Intelligence with the appearance of Atem before his memories.
Yami Yugi, as he calls himself.
“Partner, you’re going to be late to the meeting. Be sure to be in time!” That voice full of confidence and concern drives him crazy sometimes.
However, was useful in fulfilling the purpose of distracting Yugi from missing Atem. He wished to have him by his side and tell him he is going to be ok, that his boss is a rich asshole who only thinks of power and fixing his sleep schedule.
“Yeah, I heard you” was the sleep-deprived voice of Yugi who by mere willpower got up and prepared himself for another day of work. It was Monday so so better not be late as the traffic gets horrifying.
After going back home he felt some energy so, before passing out he drank a monster energy and told the AI to take care of the house. Yugi ran as much as he could because his goal was to teach the space station.
Atem's ghost lingered there, missing his dear partner but glad they could communicate again even though it was this way like before. He's so proud of Yugi now that he's an adult, just that sometimes he wished he stood into his lovely childish self forever.
The advantage of the dead was that you didn't have to worry about growing up.
“Atem I'm here!” Was the voice arriving at the duel table where the interdimensional device was placed? “You seem like a mess, partner what happened?” Asked Atem while his crimson eyes scanned his lover who was just sitting and placing his head at the table.
“Lots of work… and you know. That AI you is weird” After those words Atem gives Yugi a ghostly hug. If the Millennium Puzzle were alive both could touch each other but it's not happening so this was the least he could do for him. “I don't get why Kaiba would do such a thing, but I get his pride since he has lost to me so many times haha…” he tried to lighten the mood which worked and Yugi smiled.
“Wanna duel?” Yugi asked and Atem shook his ethereal head “I wanna know about your day… I prefer to just be the two of us” Then, a sound alerted both lovers.
“So you thought you could escape from me huh?!” The AI reached the station to lock on both Yugi and Atem. Filled with jealousy “I won't give you my partner” his voice poisonous.
“Sorry, but in case you forgot, I'm the original while you're nothing but a copy from a man who can't accept defeat”. Atem smirks while the AI projects a hologram and tries to get Atem who just floats laughing.
Yugi smiled and laughed at the scene. The two versions of the man he loved playing like cat and mouse.
