Which thing is bigger than the other thing?

This is the future liberals want.
Conservatives have no idea what liberals want. Talk to us about policy instead of putting us in a box.

I haven’t posted a before and after in a while, but here’s a cute shot from 1915 where twins Louise and Rosemary (Grandma’s aunts) are being pushed in a stroller in downtown Dam, Wisconsin. I’m not entirely sure who is pushing the stroller, this photo was from a box I assume was being kept by Gma’s paternal grandparents. That wicker stroller is definitely unique! Swipe to see the before! 🎞💓 #tbt #beforeandafter #silverheartbeats (at Beaver Dam, Wisconsin) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4kIaVpH9yF/?igshid=czz9v3rq0y3j

This is Grandma Pat and her mother, Irma. It’s such a sweet picture, and I know they’re enjoying their reunion in the afterlife. 🎞💓 @silverheartbeats is on Instagram now! Disney Plus is launching with the stated intention of streaming the entire Disney library... except for "Song of the South," a 1946 animation/live-action hybrid film set on a post-Civil War plantation. It was theatrically re-released as recently as 1986, and served as the basis for the ride Splash Mountain, but has never been available in the US on home video. What is "Song of the South?" Why did Disney make it and why have they held the actual film from release, while finding other ways to profit off of it?
One of my favorite podcasts is “You Must Remember This” by Karina Longworth. It covers the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century.
I strongly recommend subscribing to the podcast and listening to past seasons, but the current season just started and it cover’s Disney’s highly controversial film “Song of the South.”

This is Grandma Pat’s dad, Anthony at age 13 in 1915 sweeping in front of the family’s General Store on South Spring Street in Beaver Dam, WI. It was easy to figure out who the boy was in this picture. He was the only son, born in 1903, and the photo gave many clues—if you’re ever looking to figure out who is who in an old photo, the image might have more clues than you realize 🎞💓 @silverheartbeats is on Instagram now! I’m always looking for many more ways to creatively display these digital archives and document this project, so please give that account a follow if you like! Hi all!
Emily here, and if you’ve been following this account for the last year-and-a-half THANK YOU! I’m so glad to share my love of yesteryear with all of you.
As you may/may not know, the basis of this blog is journaling my project restoring and archiving family memories from my maternal grandparents.
I’m always looking for new ways to creatively display the digital archives, and had been toying with the idea of making an instagram. Well, I made one, and if you like what you see here and have that app, please consider following us! This account will feature JUST the collection from my maternal grandparents, and will feature more context than this account has in the past as this project is ongoing and I’ve learned more over time and will continue to do so.
Thanks for following here, and if you choose to on Instagram, thanks in advance!
Due to the damage on this photo (looks like light leaks) I’m not 100% sure how I might go about restoring it. I figured it’s current state was worth sharing anyways as this is the only photo I’ve found of the JJ Deniger Family (paternal grandparents). Pictured here is JJ Deniger, Louise Deniger, Tony, Gertrude, Rosemary, and Louise. If you haven’t followed my work with this project before, Tony was Grandma Pat’s father.
Yesterday, I posted a poll in my story about making this project a separate Instagram. Thoughts? I’d love to hear your feedback! I’m basically looking for a way to display the archives.
