Juubei says nothing as he looks at Makubex “What are we going to do with him?” he finally said as he brought his needles closer to Kefka as said mage gulped he was in a bind, his only options was to fight a losing battle or to his disgust surrender

"He appears to have come from elsewhere." MakubeX didn't sound too concerned, "From somewhere, that until recently, was nothing more than a game in this world. He is having some trouble adjusting to the thought." That and was threatening to destroy the world, but he knew that Juubei would not react well to that.

“Dreams and honor, huh… well, sometimes you have to do things that darken your honor to keep those you love safe.” MakubeX found himself frowning in remembrance of the things that he had done. 

Angeal saw his look “I take it for a time you lost your honor and thought that you turned your back on your firends?” he asked the young boy “For someone so young you have seen a lot for someone your age.” he smiled and patted the boy on his head “It will turn out OK in the end. I have no doubts on that one.”

"I’ve lead a busy life… and I did those things to help protect them. They eventually brought me back, but the damage was done. Its not like I can just forget about those things… or what I owe those people." As Angeal patted his head, he found himself laughing a little. "You are a very strange man."

“Hey..are you one of Jet’s friends?” He said inquisitively to the silver haired man.

“I don’t know of anyone named Jet…” He shrugged, “Sorry. Oh, I’m MakubeX, by the way.” 

“Nice to meet you MakubeX. It’s Too bad you haven’t seen Jet around. I’d like to find him…” Spike’s face fell. “And apologize…” He and just like that he shook his sadness away, pulled out a cigarette. And lit it. As he inhaled the cancery goodness he took in his surroundings. “So… do you want a smoke?” He asked MakubeX with a smile

He gently greeted the silver haired man in his normal high falsetto pitched voice. And it was as soothing as it was disturbing. “Hello there who might you be? And where might this place be that we find ourselves. In?” He finished with a smile.

He smiled uneasily, before answering the other’s question. “I am MakubeX… and you are in Lower Town. Who are you?” 

“Just call me…” he began in the falsetto. “HIM!” he finished in a bass demonic voice. “Lower town hmmm? It appears I’m not in Kansas anymore.” “Hehehehe” he laughed. “What is there to do here MakubeX?” He asked calmly

"Him? That’s… an unusual name." MakubeX was unsure what to do, so he decided to try to answer the other’s questions and keep an eye on him. "Well, this is certainly not Kansas… that’s in the United States, right? This is the Limitless Fortress, in Shinjiku, Japan." He hesitated, "Lower Town isn’t really the nicest place. Its dangerous here for outstiders. The Junkies won’t hesitate to attack unfamiliar faces, but it is still safer than the Beltline above us."

“Well i guess you can touch it. Just don’t break it please!” he said as he held his sitar next to MakubeX “Trust me you don’t want me to start playing it.”

MakubeX hesitantly reached out and softly touched the wood of the sitar. It was smooth, but something he couldn’t name warned him of the power residing within it. “What happens when you play it?” Curiously, he gently plucked one of the strings. 

“Well usually water clones appear when i play it. Other than that nothing to special.” he said

"Water clones? That’s interesting. How do you control them?" The silver-haired boy smiled, perhaps this stranger wasn’t so bad after all.

He wasn’t surprised that the other two had appeared, Sakura in particular always paid attention to his whereabouts. “I’d like you to meet two of my most trusted friends and allies, Sakura and Juubei.” His voice was neutral as he continued, “Just because you have always worked alone doesn’t mean that I have.”

MakubeX stiffened slightly at the other’s words, but a second later he had relaxed enough to reply, “Lower Town is mine to protect. I will use all my resources to stop you, should it come down to it. Harming my people will be dealt with accordingly.” Boasting was not something he intended to do, so the calm resolution in his eyes would have to be enough.

Kefka laughed “Oh really! You? Please.” Kefka just laughed as a cloth wrapped around his throat and a person in a white shirt with dark glasses held needles to his neck “You touch him,” the one with the cloth started “We will end you.” the one holding the needles finished as Kefka was assessing the situation he was in, it didn’t look good for him
