machinistictendenciesâ:
âBehemothâ? Now that you mention it, I did think that youâd put on a bit of weight.â
Be offended. Heâs living for this roasting session.
âMy dear friend, thatâs a half-baked excuse if Iâve heard one. Saving the world and all that is standard and natural for us handsome, dashing adventurers. I can do that, even with a Kingdom to care for!â
Of course, he knows the pressures that come all tied up into such a vague story, but is it not the way of these two idiots to keep pushing one anotherâs boundaries? His elbow digs straight into a rib.
âCome on. I need something far better than that.â
Spluttering ensues. âReally?! Really--?!â Itâs the trenchcoat, the trenchcoat! But it doesnât stop him from poking at his waistline experimentally. Ouch, Edgar.
âPah, half-baked or not, it still remains an excuse!â He retorts, though heâs grinning still; look at them, theyâre twelve. âEven if it is all in a dayâs work for those such as us.â Crossing his arms, he smirks, though it turns into a grimace when heâs elbowed swiftly, and he yelps, elbowing him back.
âAlright, alright, I suppose I can oblige with something of note,â he says finally, lifting his hands. âWould âtaking custody of said fair maidenâ be enough, my friend? After all having a daughter does tend to...limit oneâs free time activities.â The dreaded D-word, the horror! (But heâs not sorry, though.)
