Paper cutout animation test! Featuring my wip Moho rig.

I made a quick animation in Moho and then exported the individual frames and used a cricut to cut them out. Then, I did a "quick stop-motion test" on a makeshift light table because I am apparently insane.

(Adding a few sheets of vellum helped sell the look.)

The Moho animation took about 30 mins...filming the stop-motion shot also only took about 30 mins. (because it was only 2 seconds.)

But the printing, cutting, gluing, and other fabrication.....took days.

I like to think of Gourmand as an exception. Ordinary Slugcats don't eat large creatures; their carnivorous diet is limited to centipedes and flies. It seems to me that their bodies aren't built to properly digest larger creatures. I consider Hunter, Artificer, and Spearmaster to be true predators, and each of them is modified (Artificer's nature is unclear, but I believe it's a modification. or, at the very least, a distinct subspecies). Leaving Spearmaster aside, large creatures restore twice as many hunger pips for Hunter and Artificer as they do for Gourmand. By the time of campaign, he is in late adulthood and really experienced (he is the leader of an entire colony, after all) and I imagine his diet developed differently from that of typical Slugcats. I picture Gourmand loving to eat from the time he was a pup; when the older Slugcats rationed and shared resources equally among everyone, Gourmand would go off to forage for himself. Eventually, his curiosity led him to start eating larger prey, even though it was harder to digest (largely for the sake of variety in flavor). The stakes rose gradually, so he didn't jump straight to lizards; he only started hunting them once he was a young adult. That’s why he’s so fat.
