thirdreprise: COVER THEORY OUT NOW 🟠🟡🟢🔴🔵🟣 The dream was to make a lot of music with a lot of people I respect, and the showtunes-covers thing gave us a platform and a box to play in. The result is Cover Theory: an album of experiments in opening up and playing with the songs from my childhood, seeing how I could bridge them to the music I’m most interested in now. I’m genuinely awed at how many people came along for this journey with me– its a testament to how connected our inner-child selves are to each other. Thank you to everyone who has listened to and shared this music. Thank you to everyone who played and sang and filmed and mixed and edited, often for not enough money. Thank you to the writers of these songs. Thank you to the countless people who encouraged us when this showtunes-covers thing felt really silly. So much gratitude! I just played “Mona” in DAMES AT SEA, one night only, July 4th, 2026 in Tangier! This was my 3rd Tangier production: it’s 5 days rehearsal, and one night only! Wheeeee!!!! 😅😁😁🙏🏼 Thank you, to wonderful director Rob Ashford, it’s an immense pleasure and a wonderful challenge—I’m so grateful! And, what an excellent group of talented souls to play with —and work your tail off—in a stunning location. Perfection!
