The FDA has upgraded an egg recall issued last month to “Class I,” its highest risk level, as it warns the public that consuming the products could cause “serious adverse health consequences or death.”

The recall of 1,589,577 dozen white-shell eggs and brown cage-free shell eggs was initially issued by Midwest Poultry Services in late July, which warned they might be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis.

According to the company, the eggs were produced and distributed from farms in Texas between June 6 and July 3 and have sell-by or best-by dates between July 20 and August 17. The recalled egg cartons have either the code P-1950 or 0840962 and Julian Dates between 157-184.

But, it's also important to acknowledge that Boothill didn't hit the books much (much ≠ never) and in his Astral Express dialogue, he even mentions having a language deficiency. A language deficiency meaning a breakdown or lag in learning, understanding or using spoken or written words. Whether its expressing oneself or making sense of what others say. And Boothill says that his synesthesia beacon compensates for it and fills in words and expands his lexicon despite this barrier.

On the note of "expanding his lexicon" i do believe its a mix of Boothill's own language deficiency and also the fact that his native tongue comes from a planet that was isolated from the rest of space until the IPC arrived. Within the realm of linguistics, its very common for languages to not have the proper words to describe certain things and its because the people of the language have simply never encountered whatever they lack the means to describe. Boothill's synesthesia beacon expanding his lexicon means it's supplying him with the words for things his native tongue doesnt have the words for because Aeragan-Epharshel was isolated until a couple years ago (however long those couple years may be). With the planet now no longer isolated, the language of Aeragan-Epharshel is developing as its inhabitants encounter new things but is also simultaneously at a risk of dying out or changing into something completely different as the survivors slowly dwindle and the IPC has colonzied the planet.

Anyways, my point is that the synesthesia beacon is both a tool of oppression and horror (censoring his speech so it sounds cleaner, there's an innate horror in your words coming out all wrong because your speech isnt clean enough and its reminiscent of how countless indigenous and ethnic groups weren't allowed to speak their native tongue throughout history because it's not "civilized" enough) but also a tool that helps Boothill in its own way.

Its very much a double edged sword and I find it to be one of the things that Boothill has reclaimed in a way to empower himself and regain autonomy and agency. Through somewhat accepting the unique speech that his censorship gives him, he can make himself more theatrical and memorable which is what Boothill wants, to gain attention from the IPC to make hunting Oswaldo easier but also so more people look at him and thus look at the IPCs crimes. And with the synesthesia beacon compensating for his language deficiency, it aids in Boothill better expressing himself (and perhaps understand others better? Its hard to say how exactly his language deficiency presents itself aside from him not finding certain words)
