It was a relief to see that the Asgardian wasn't truly upset by his comments, he would have felt terrible able it if she had been offended. “It’s sad that someone felt it had to be proven, we should have already known it...”

“just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” he replied, though his tone was light and playful. “but that’s a lesson everyone in the galaxy has to learn one way or another...”

the asgardian stepped out of her way, but he didn’t stray more than a step of two away as he hoped she would at least acknowledge his apology, if not hopefully accept it. “i blocked your light while you were working, it could be quite disturbing if you ask me.” the comment was offered as an olive branch of sorts, trying to absolve her of any guilt she might have felt in the moment. “that can’t be true.” he offered gently with a weak smile at the woman. “everyone gets upset every now and again, irritated even, and it’s entirely normal, it doesn’t make you a -” well, he could have just repeated her exact term, but it felt a bit vulgar, and he nearly blushed at the thought of using it. “- part of the anatomy of most species just for having feelings.” there’s a pause, a thought that he’s overstepping, but it doesn’t stop him from adding “you’re allowed to have feelings, you know, and they are valid.”

“Everything’s a bit odd if you think about it.” he remarked with a chuckle. “It’s one of the most fascinating parts of life. Things like that make life worth living.”

"Technicalities." he laughed, flashing his cousin a smile. "It's just funny to think about."

" i wasn't trying to be kind, just honest. " he offered. " i just thought you deserved a reminder of something i'm sure you already knew. "

"It was nothing you did, Lady Sif." he tried to reasure with a warm smile. "You're one of the fiercest warriors in any of the realms."

"The longer we're here... the further I feel in my heart. I don't know how you or Papa could ever stay away from Asgard for as long as you have."

“Did you know you used to be my hero?”

“Make my way through the motions, I try to ignore it but home's looking farther the closer I get ”

“I don't wanna live forever, 'cause I know I'll be living in vain.”  

“Or maybe just need some sleep...”

Well, he’d experienced that particular sensation, but he imagined it was something at least slightly unpleasant. “Alright, Professor.” He watched curiously as Miguel placed the device on his arm, reminding himself of what he’d said was to come before looking up to the man as he waited for the process to start.
