bohemianaidenâ:
Aiden was almost caught by surprise when a hoard of tiny feet stamped down the stairs and soon enough they were surrounded by a group of children of different ages with their eyes wide with curiosity. âHey now, Iâm sure thereâs enough for everybody,â he said, taking a couple of the tarts and handing them to the orphans. âOr enough to share, for sure.â He felt bad for eating some on the way, these children needed them more than he did. At the same time, they didnât know some were missing and the spark in their eyes was filling him with a strange feeling of joy.
âLetâs everyone take one and pass them around,â Galahad instructed gently, crouching down slightly so he was closer to the childrenâs eye level. Some hung back, cautious, but others were more intrigued than they were scared and came forward to grab the tarts from the tray. Soon enough they were all sharing them around and even the wariest came forward to take one, smiling and laughing as they bit into them. Standing back up, Galahad caught sight of the look on Aidenâs face and grinned. âAnd thatâs why I like helping people.â
