Dreaming, Scheming, Writing and Waiting

Many of us are taught that slavery came to an end with the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, but for enslaved people in Texas, freedom didn’t come until June 19, 1865.

I can never thank you enough for all the good things your work has brought, the bonds and the fun in the story reflected on us and changed the lives of many. I know I wouldn’t have done half of the things I did in the past years if it weren’t for the adventure, art and characters you created and the passion and love you showed for your creations.

I, like thousands upon thousands of fans, have made so many new friends and met so many incredible and talented people thanks to you and I’ll forever be grateful to you for that.
