[ Both characters are represented as two arctic foxes: mother and son, bound by a family tie that defines their story. They live in a secluded village, far from the noise of the cities and their peculiar notion of “functionality.” Amid frozen mountains and seemingly "serene" landscapes, they strive to build a peaceful life—or at least, Rose will try, watching her little one live the ideal childhood she once dreamed of. ]

*ੈ✩‧₊˚༺[ Rose is a woman of contrasting facets, shaped by the presence or absence of her son. Without him around, despite the villagers’ appreciation, she remains reserved and reluctant to engage in long conversations, limiting herself to brief, precise responses. She only becomes warmer than usual on rare occasions, and almost always at her son’s request. ]༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚

ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ[ When he is by her side, Rose reveals a more open side. While still moderate, she adapts to the boy’s enthusiasm and hyperactivity, joining in his world. Her reserved nature softens, driven by the desire to strengthen their bond and ensure that her son enjoys his childhood to the fullest. ]

[ Around others, she continues to keep some distance, but she’s unafraid to show her true self when with her son, unconcerned about how others perceive her. ]

[ He is her sole reason for engaging in social situations and revealing a warmer part of herself. This unconditional love contrasts with her usual demeanor, revealing a woman willing to transform her world for her son’s happiness. ]

[ On the other hand, her son, Kain—affectionately called Losty—is the perfect opposite of his mother. Enthusiastic, hyperactive, and full of curiosity, he leaves no corner unexplored, always fascinated by the prospect of discovering something new every day. ]

[ Guided by his innocence, Losty is warm and empathetic toward everyone he meets, often including his mother in his conversations, giving her the spotlight she tends to avoid but that he shares with a charming natural ease. ]

[ Even though he spends most of his time running and jumping around, he always returns to Rose, seeking those special moments when she holds him, plays with him, or simply talks to him. At times, he unconsciously mirrors his mother, as if he sees another child in her—just as enthusiastic and empathetic, equally hyperactive yet shy, wrapped in that sweet overprotection he so enjoys from her. ]

[ Despite her adorable relationship with Losty, Rose bears a torment beyond her son’s understanding. Every night, her dreams turn into a desolate abyss—an unfathomable, dark void where everything she knows dissolves into shadows. In that place, the loneliness is overwhelming, and through the fog of forgetfulness, figures from the past emerge—those who never apologized or healed old wounds. Irrelevant figures now, mere ashes of long-extinguished fires. ]
