🦝 The mammals of Australia.. London, Printed by Taylor and Francis, pub. by the author, 1863.. Original source Image description: Illustration of a wombat from 1863 showing a close-up frontal view of the compact, furry marsupial resting low among grass and small leafy plants. The wombat has a broad head, small rounded ears, dark eyes, a large black nose, and sharp claws visible on its front paws. The background is softly shaded with subtle trees. The drawing emphasizes the wombat’s dense fur texture and sturdy build, typical of the species native to Australia. The scientific name “Phascolomys Wombat” is printed below the image.

What the heck! As of this reblog, this comic has 21 notes. Apparently a little reblog chain happened, but I don’t really remember noticing. Much higher numbers than my usual 0 or 1. My first taste of success, and I totally missed it!
honestly, if I had a comic take off I wouldn’t mind this one. I still like the joke.
