HOW MANY YEARS HAS PASSED?! Just wow and WHY? Honestly, Hana Kimi (if you haven't heard of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) was released so many years ago and I actually remember the process (this is how old I am). It's like one of the first stories with gender bender that was so popular (hard to believe, I know), a gay panic and with openly gay doctor as one of the main characters (after being adapted to a TV show the showrunners were too tame to leave him gay) I'm going to watch it just to see if these pussies left the doctor gay or not. Because affection for the same sex was one of the main themes, at least to me.

But I must say, this type of plot was okay back then, many crazy plots popped up here and there, but nowadays hearing a story of a girl rolling into all-boys school and a school doctor covering for her.. does it sound good to you? :) does it sound sane?

Nostalgia moment: I might still have few old wallpapers left from those times. The mangaka had (don't know if she still does) an official site and she also shared self-made PC wallpapers there. I remember I saved quite a few of them, since I loved the story and art was so pretty. It's a pity that for this mangaka Hana Kimi became also kind of a burden, when none of their consequent works was as successful. I also have few prints from the manga I think.

I feel sorry that anime quality feels lacking and gives a bit of a flat feeling. But I'm still wondering why they decided to make an anime for it so many years later.
