i have a peetle question... this might be actual hallucination on my part but do you have a particular effect you use on the lineart in the series ? ik you use a more recent version of adobe animate for peetledoodle but i swear a lot of the drawings look a Lot like theyve been drawn in earlier versions of flash with the classic weird smoothing and everything , and ive found that really difficult to replicate in Animate . maybe it wasnt on purpose but If it was im curious to know how you achieved it ... and thank you for the awesome art keep creating

unfortunately, adobe animate's version of the brush tool IS fundamentally different from older versions of flash. this has been an issue for me...

i looked into finding ways to properly emulate the feel of the old brush to little avail! so, what you see in my videos is just my best approximation.

here is my diagram...

i have the brush tool set to smoothing 98, and pen pressure ON (only started doing this in The Honeymoon, though). since that doesn't really look desirable, i then use the Smooth function on the drawing a couple times (i have this function bound to "S" so it's easy to do without opening the modify->shape menu)

there's an authentic flash CS6 runt the turtle so you can compare; as you can see it's not exactly accurate, but i think it gets the look across somewhat. it's about as good as i can do--i did try moving to flash CS6 but encountered problems so i've stuck to newer versions

Hi, yes that’s perfectly fine.

If you’re just an individual making things out of love, there’s nothing I would want to stop you from doing (I think).

The only thing related to this I wouldn’t want is some kind of company mass producing bootleg products for money (but I don’t think that’s going to happen).

I don’t know the first thing about selling merch. I never really thought it would be something anyone wanted, but if there is genuine demand for it, I can consider looking into trying something.

You all are absolutely free to continue doing this, and this goes for anyone else interested in accessibility projects for any language. You guys don't need to ask me (though I appreciate it)!

Since I'm monolingual, a lot of proper back-and-forth communication would be needed for me to consider any translation "official," and unfortunately I don't really have the bandwidth or resources to dedicate to that currently (I'm barely making it by trying to even put out new episodes). Even so, I'd be very happy for you all & others interested to continue and have your work out there as fan translations. Art accessibility is great and I appreciate you all doing the work that I'm personally unable to. Thank you!

PS: A note about dub tracks. I currently haven't put any out, and this is simply because I produce episodes in a very disorganized and haphazard way where the voices, sound, and animation are baked into the same file. It would require a good amount of effort + time to go back in and remove the voices, re-export, and re-edit each episode to release. I'm sorry about that. I'm only one person, and I didn't expect my art to reach such a wide audience initially. Going forward I'll try to lay better groundwork for this, and at some point in the (hopefully not-so-distant) future I would be interested in releasing dub tracks for the episodes.

hia,sorry if you've answered this before but what animation software do you use? My younger brother is convinced you use MS-paint , I think you're using something like professional grade lol. :3
