In early 2022 I began work on a novella inspired by the classic movie "Guzoo: The Thing Forsaken by God." The project melted under the weight of its own grandeur, but I rescued a fragment and breathed life into it. Thus, I present: Guzoo The Thing Forsaken by God, a micro-dose of tentacles, ooze, loss, and pain.

I used Tumblr when I started writing fiction around 2012. I loved the interface, the wealth of beautiful visual content, and the ability to customize the appearance of the page. However, I eventually made the leap to Wordpress and didn't look back.

Earlier this year I decided I needed a change. Wordpress was becoming too much for my needs. I wanted to simplify. Thus, I let the vanity URL go and lost it to some random agency that scooped it up and is now selling it for much higher than it's worth. Thus, https://jamie-grefe.com was born. It's a static site hosted by Github pages. It's all I need.

And, thus, in this reflective time, I returned "home" to this Shredded Maps Tumblr where it all began. The links on the left sidebar are most all of my publications. Some links may no longer be active and deserve an audit at some point. In the meantime, I'm building up new works and have plenty of things I'd like to bring to life either on the page, on the screen, or via audio work.

Updates // September 2020

September has arrived and I haven’t updated in ages. COVID has mutated into a blur of work-at-home days, time spent wandering the halls of this house, the neighborhood, or sitting at the kitchen table writing, reading D.T. Suzuki or E.M. Cioran. I’ve been fortunate that time has passed and I’ve been able to spend meaningful time with my family. And alone… Or online. The rhythm of the days unfold…
