Eddie gets shot or stabbed next episode. He's pressing the button for the elevator, as seen in the promo.

The elevator arrives, and whose in it? Buck, with a first aid kit! Buck freaks at the sight of Eddie covered in blood again, and Eddie collapses against Buck, the doors to the elevator shut, and something happens that traps them inside it.

Buck is panicking, covered in Eddie's blood again. Eddie reassures him that he can help him and has him remove the bullet and stitch him up until they can get to a doctor and get proper help.

Eddie can see Buck is still spiralling, possibly has a panic attack, so he reassures him again, his hand in his spot on Buck's collarbone, and when Buck is calm and level headed again, a moment happens between them.

Maybe a kiss, maybe an almost kiss... But it definitely gives us an indication that they're going down the route they were supposed to go down in Season 4...

Bobby: and that should do it for today. any questions?

Buck: *raises hand*

Bobby: yes buck?

Buck: eddie put his hand on my thigh when we sat down so i didn’t hear a word you said

Bobby: ..

Bobby: *sighs*

Bobby: eddie, did you hear anything i said?

Eddie: ..no

Bobby: because your hand was-

Eddie: -on his thigh, yeah
