Well, it’s my birthday. My 30th birthday. I was supposed to be getting on a plane to Nashville, TN at 6am but now, instead, I’ll be at home. I had planned this sort of extravagant celebration because I haven’t had the best of birthdays the last few years. My father passed away the day before my birthday in 2017, so 4/3/17, ever since then my birthdays just haven’t been the same. So for turning 30 I had planned to go to Nashville with family and friends to celebrate the big 3 0. However Coronavirus/COVID-19 had other plans for, well, everyone. It pained me to cancel our trip, but I knew it was something I had to do. I canceled it a few weeks ago, knowing we all needed to follow all of the recommendations out there regarding social distancing, etc. I am a firm believer in “Everything happens for a reason” so I know it wasn’t meant for us to be in Nashville this weekend. With that being said, it doesn’t make me any less upset or bummed that we cannot go. I am however super thankful, and grateful that my friends and family are safe and healthy. If any of you have birthdays this month or during this pandemic, I hope that you can make the most of your day! I have a zoom party planned for later tonight, it won’t be the same as Nashville but we will make the most of this bad situation. As Taylor once said,  “I’m doing better than I ever was” and honestly, that is so true for where I am at right now in my life.
