Hard workout + long walk + no dinner + porch wine with the moms turned into a trip to the ED for a concussion.

Stood up to get to the bathroom (get sick), passed out/fell backwards, hit my head on the concrete, lost consciousness, got sick, woke up to my friends and the paramedics over me. Humiliating, embarrassing, painful. The moms couldn’t haven’t been sweeter, but I’m still just mortified.

Luckily, no one I knew was working in the ED when I was there. But reading the ED notes is horrifying.

Enough to stop drinking for good. Had already been cutting back quite a bit. But I’m ready to let it go completely.

Saw a mouse eating a Cheezit right by where I was “sleeping.”

It seems to be a combination of decades of crappy work, materials not up to code, and an oversight by the builders from a year ago.

Getting it worked on all day today.
