shiro & kuro

      He had just been sleeping when he heard someone walk by, sitting up in his windowsill to look out of the open glass. Amber eyes blink slowly, both with sleep and a gentle hello to the cause of his wake, body arching upwards in a stretch before he sinks back down to sit.

     This boy smells of water (and he’s near it, after all), but Kuro has always been braver than her brother, especially when it comes to water. While she doesn’t like it, she will admit that a bath every once in a while makes her coat shine... And the ocean has fish in it, and those are fun to chase sometimes!

             But she manages to jump from dock to boat before it drifts off too far, a curious mew garbled by low purring as she moves to climb onto the boy’s lap, looking up at him quietly. He seems to be more... weighted than the other children she’s seen. Something on his shoulders and his mind that he may be able to hide from humans, but not from her. She’s trained for this.
