"Then we gotta get ‘em operated on, quick!" He knew she was making a joke; it took a while, but West had finally come to realize what was a joke from Shizuku and what wasn’t. And (he hoped) this was a joke from her.
Shizuku nodded, "I'll get the tools doctor!" She turned and left the room for only a few seconds before she was back with that same old blank look on her face as always.
"I forgot. I can't get the tools doctor, my arms don't work."
"No." She said as soon at the person standing in front of her asked a question. Shizuku that's rude be nice to people.

Shizuku stands with her arms hanging by her sides. "No I think you're wrong." Her amber eyes stare at him as he starts to rub her arms to try to get feeling back into them. "I think they are gone for good this time." Quite the dramatic joke Shizuku, even if you did say it in a serious tone.

Just by looking at the bento you could tell how much effort she put into his. More than she put into hers, it was obvious. But he chose not to say anything so that she wouldn’t get embarrassed and stop talking which she did sometimes. Instead, he took a few bites of his food savoring the taste. It was amazing and it was just what he needed at the time. She knew exactly what he liked and filled his bento with just that.

He finished his food too fast, and he regretted it quickly since now he had nothing to eat and was still kinda hungry. He told himself that he could hold off until his cousin came to pick them up and take them home.
Shizuku knew how to cook, it was one of her hidden talents that she didn't often bring any attention too. But, it made sense that she could cook well since she was often making food for her father and little brother. Not having a mom around would make it so that someone has to step up in that area. "Mmm, good. I'm glad you like it." She slowly ate her food, watching him eat his in what seemed like now time flat.
She knew him pretty well, and she could tell one thing by the way he looked in this moment. He was still hungry. She looked down at her own food before holding it up to him. "Here."

"Riceballs and watermelon…? Weird combo, but whatever. Not like it’s gonna kill ya. But- I’ll just take the riceballs." West put the first aid kit away and headed out of the bathroom, muttering to himself about whether he even had rice or if he had to go buy some. Thankfully, he at least knew he had watermelon.
Shizuku followed behind him towards the kitchen, much like a little duckling following behind it's mother. When they got to the kitchen, she picked up an even bigger knife then what she was using the cut the apple before. "I'll cut the mellon." She held up the knife, not even thinking this through at all. For a girl who was so smart she could be pretty dumb.

With a playful grin, West kissed the bandage lightly then leaned down to Shizuku and lightly kissed her cheek.
"But now that ya mention it, I am hungry. Let’s make lunch, yeah?”
"I cook all the time, I'm a good cook." Her mind just was somewhere else recently, for some reason. Shizuku blushed slightly, looking away from him shyly at all the kisses. She then looked to him. "I was riceballs and watermellow." Weird combination...

The nurse chuckled softly and nodded at Shizuku’s request. He fiddled around with the IV drip as he spoke. “Still in pain, I take it. It’s to be expected, after the accident you had,” he stated lightly, then stepped away from the drip, having added extra strength pain medication to it. “You’ll be here in the hospital until you’re well enough to go home. Could be a month or so,” he added.
West turned his attention off the nurse and back to the blonde. He knew exactly what she was probably thinking about with that news. “I can go by your school every day and bring your homework here to you,” the ginger offered, “That way, you don’t miss out on anythin’.” He figured that was the best thing he could do, if he wasn’t allowed to beat her hit’n’run driver to shit.
"Take this time to just take it easy, Miss Mizutani. The last thing you need to to stress yourself out more than necessary," the nurse said with a smile. "Now, is there anything else you need?"
Shizuku nodded slowly, she was in pain... As much as she hated to admit it, everything hurt a lot. She look at at the male nurse, watching him put the pain medication in. She hoped that it would work quickly so that she could feel at least a bit more relaxed and better. "A... Month? That long in this place?" School or not, that sounded like hell. Being trapped in this place for that long. She looked to him again, hearing West say he could get her homework. He really knew her well. "No, that's it. Thanks."
She looked to West now, her face scrunched a bit. Was she pouting? Even in this condition she decided that now would be a good time to do that. "I'm glad you're... Getting my work but... I don't want to be suck here this whole time. That's... A long time." She sighed, looking down at her hands. "This bed... It's comfy... I don't like it very much." She was embarrassed to admit she liked West's bed more.
