This is what happens when you try to stop hyperfixating for several days to do your goddamn art assignment and your hellbrain says, “I have an idea.”

Sure did take me 2 days and 2 near emotional meltdowns to learn how to use CSP’s animation tools and make this work.

(hope you don't mind me answering publicly as I'm sure others who have been reading the series are curious)

I'm currently on a break from Star Wars for... a myriad of reasons but it is always my plan to return. There is just too much story in my brain to walk away forever. I'm already rotating ways to rework the chapter that I stalled out on... but that comes later. I just need to clear my head and come back with fresh eyes and fresh thoughts.

I watched the Season 2 finale when it dropped and my literal first thought after it was over and I was done hyperventilating was, "So Grogu has two dads now?" And that would not leave my head. "Grogu has two dads," I thought constantly, all day every day for a couple weeks. "Oh no. Oh no, oh no. This can't be happening." And then I gave up and checked AO3.

Hello there, and happy holidays!

Unfortunately I could not recover anything past 2022 save for a few random ultimately useless things that I could pull from the recycle bin. What you see in the archives and over at AO3 is all there is of my later works. Ah well. Only thing I can do now is move forward, which I am. Hopefully I'll have a little something up on here before the year is over.

If you already follow me on my main blog or elsewhere online, you probably already know this. In an attempt to finally commit to unfucking my laptop and disentangling it from Microsoft's death grip on Win11 and everyone who uses it, I fucked up, didn't do a proper backup and double-check which main folder all of my writing and art files were nestled in, and permanently deleted a folder labeled "OneDrive".

I recovered the Scrivener folder for The Stars (and all other fic files are in gdocs which I know is a problem but that's a different fight) and some jpgs but I'm struggling to recover all of my art files from after early 2022. As of right now, this tumblr account and imgur have my only copies for everything from 2022 onward. I guess it's a small mercy that life overtook me and I barely drew anything this year, but it sucks. My hopes to run a little merch shop are pretty much dead unless I redraw everything that I couldn't restore.

So, yeah. Back up your shit regularly to avoid losing years of work and fuck Microsoft for putting me in this position in the first place. And fuck me for lacking the executive function to do all this backing things up and deleting off Onedrive shit years earlier until now and doing it in the worst way possible.

Hi there! Firstly, many many thanks for reading the series! Secondly, life has been immensely troublesome however Andor's lit a fire and I'm working on the next chapter. Have had to keep pushing back launch but I'm hoping to get something out in June.

This entire chapter was so hard to write AND draw... until you grasp that one thought and pull hard on it. Envisioning Nevarro like you're a gunslinger, an outlaw, wandering into a town clinging to the frontier really helped me crawl past artist's block.

Warming up for this new year in my GNX with Anita Baker in the tape deck with an art exercise I spotted on Instagram. Even if I no longer see a path to a career in the arts, I will continue making art of the things I like. I will continue doing the things that keep me sane while this country of mine goes off the rails.

Anyway, here's a dangerous dreams sketch dump.

It's been a long quiet, but RL had taken such a fucking toll that I had a real hard time finding the fucks to get creative. Who knows how much this past US presidential election will fuck up the entire rest of my life, but I'll take solace in finding community and in the little things and in Andor Season 2 and in the telling of The Stars.

Five months later, here we are to close the book on the first arc and open to the first pages of the second arc.

An "I want to scribble some kind of dinluke but every idea is trash" sketch to tidy this space over while I continue to fall behind on my plans to finish the illustrations and post the fic. I need to keep remembering that not everything requires my 101% and it's fine to play loose and fast with a blank canvas and pencil brushes.
