Hey everybody, in the tags tell me something good that happened to you today š

And I'll tell you another thing: I'm sorry you and Gus McCrae ever met. All you two done was ruin one another, not to mention those close to you. Another reason I didn't marry him was because I didn't want to fight you for him every day of my life."
This part literally took my knees out.

Oh no, for some reason I only sent you one of the two store-sebastians. Here's the other one
I don't hate him. 3/10 for arrows, this in our fallen world is fairly common. 6.9/10 for pale dusty gold cloth. 6/10 for posture. 6.2/10 for facial expression. 8/10 for muscles <3. 7/10 for traditional tree placement. 2/10 for the styling of the pedestal he's on... I don't care for that scroll and laurel pattern. 7/10 for storeroom placement and night at the museum potential. Overall we have a wonderful 8.8/10. xx

I feel the ball has been fumbled so completely already I donāt have a whole lot of optimism for the rest of this season. Also, this is making so much sense. This show has never championed its hero. The first 2 seasons were spent magnifying minor characters and this is praised as a great thing yes so fun but it shows right now as the third season, the season about the hero of the over 10 book series, is falling flat and thin for a lot of viewers, especially those that actually care about Lestat and who are attached to the novel TVL. I donāt have a problem with changing canon if it serves the character/story. Theyāve changed so much, pretty fundamental and impactful elements ranging from the charactersā backstories to pivotal conflict climaxes like the dropping Louis scene which of course Lestat never actually did and in fact thatās what happened to him. But I can enjoy that because it does kind of make a little sense for Lestat and it was dramatically satisfying, if seductively so. I can tolerate and enjoy controversial and impactful changes to canon. Otherwise I already wouldnāt have gotten so much enjoyment out of the first two seasons. But I am not able to enjoy an entire season that serves as the gaudy spectacle emblem of the shows rejection of its main hero. If Lestat isnāt written right, the story is going to flounder as a whole for me. When they zoomed in on Louis and said āheās the storyā (in Lestatās concert, during Lestatās POV season, in the series in which Lestat is the hero/primary protagonist) I thought to myself that is exactly where this show is going wrong. And Iāve been thinking that since season 1 and 2 but those were wonderful seasons and I expected them to show us their skill and their proficiency with Lestat when they got to season 3 and Iām actually surprised by how steeply theyāre doing the opposite. Theyāre showing me, in my opinion, that they didnāt inflate and embellish these more minor characters (yes that includes Louis) as only an addition to the story but also at the expense of the story. Iām going to watch the rest of the season and hope it has a master plan that I donāt understand of yet; and Iām always going to enjoy the first 2 seasons that were spectacular. But these are my current thoughts. Read TVL!
