how do you draw wrinkles so well????

dw I gotchu (kinda long post so beware!)

To tell the truth, I don't actually have a method? It's kinda intuitive at this point, so I mostly just draw folds like a pattern I've memorized; I'm sure that if anyone takes a closer look at a lot of my stuff, you'll find that I kinda draw the same wrinkles each time

However! I've come to realize that I mostly use two "mental rulers" for each wrinkle line: a triangular one (first image) and a radial one (second)
