A letter from the author:

I just wanted to take a moment to touch base with all of you and let you know what is going on in terms of Shifting Dreams. Due to circumstances beyond my control and some crummy personal health situations, I've been away from my writing and the internet at large for the past few weeks, but the story has not been abandoned. What I have decided to do is work on wrapping up the main story (which will top out around a considerable 200,000 words) in the span of seven more chapters. I have one already written, and have mentally mapped out six more that I think will leave our favorite boys in a very good place and serve as a fitting "conclusion" to this story. I say "conclusion" in quotation marks like that, because in addition to going back and adding prequels and extras, I will leave the story open to being able to come back and add new one-shots when real life events regarding Chris and Darren happen, and/or when a particular muse bites at me. This verse has no dead set end, it can continue to go on, change, and grow just like any love story worth its salt. Writing this story has been a wonderful experience for me, and I thank every single reader who has come along for the ride. The dream isn't over yet, friends. Stay tuned...

Hey all,

Long time no speak. Sorry about that. I’ve been struggling with some real life problems that have kept me away from Tumblr and my writing lately, but I plan to spend the weekend getting myself back on track. I just want to apologize to all of you and to my amazing betas for the delays and I am so grateful for your patience.

I want to reply to a post you made asking non CC shippers why they're reading SD. I am NOT a CC shipper, but I LOVE CC fics. I see the RPF's as a work of fiction with Darren & Chris as characters. Sure, some things are true, some speculative & some false. But, by choosing to read them as if CC are characters, I enjoy incredible stories by talented people. People should be allowed to ship who they want without hate. But good writing is good writing & I'm not missing out because I don't ship CC.
