The cameras flashed nonstop as artists from different groups pour into the dining haul. Laughter, interviews, and excited fans filled the venue, making the MAMA feel more like a giant reunion than a competition.

As KATSEYE finished their photos, Y/N adjusted the sleeve of her fitted black blazer. Despite the formal outfit, it didn't do much to hide the build that became the trend in Katseye from the vlogs and the BTS's.

Sophia walked beside her, their shoulders brushing for a brief second before staff directed everyone toward the backstage waiting area.

"Ready?" she whispered.

Y/N smiled.

"Always."

Backstage was a maze of dressing rooms and artists greeting one another.

"Y/N!"

She turned to see Huh Yujin from le sserafim approaching her plastered with a bright smile.

"I've been meaning to say hi."

"It's good to finally meet you," Y/N replied politely.

"I've seen your workout videos," Yujin laughed. "They're kind of intimidating."

Y/N rubbed the back of her neck.

"I mostly post them to keep myself accountable."

"I don't know..." she teased, lightly poking her arm. "Those arms definitely got everyone's attention."

Before Y/N could answer, another familiar face joined them.

"She's right."

Yejin from ITZY grinned as she walked over.

"I thought the videos had filters until I saw you in person."

Yujin laughed.

"Nope. Definitely real."

Y/N chuckled awkwardly.

"You two are making this embarrassing."

"Can you blame us?" Yejin said. "Everyone online was talking about your no so secret body now."

The conversation stayed friendly, but from across the hallway as Sophia and the rest of Katseye was doing an interview...

Sophia saw everything.

She watched Yujin laughing.

She watched Yejin complimenting her.

She watched both of them standing just a little closer than she would've liked.

She knew they weren't doing anything wrong.

She trusted Y/N.

Still...

That formed a twisted knot in her stomach anyway.

A few minutes later, the members were called to another photoshoot.

Sophia smiled for every camera.

But Y/N noticed.

The smile never quite reached her eyes.

When they finally had a quiet moment between schedules, Y/N caught up to her in a secluded and dark hallway

"Hey love."

"Hm?"

"You've been quiet."

"I'm fine."

She raised an eyebrow.

"Soph."

"..."

She sighed.

"It's stupid."

"If it's bothering you, it's not stupid."

She looked away.

"I just..."

Another sigh.

"When I saw Yujin and Yejin talking to you..."

"They're gorgeous."

"They kept complimenting you."

"And..."

She laughed nervously.

"I guess I got jealous."

Y/N blinked for a moment before smiling softly.

"You know what I was thinking during that whole conversation?"

"What?"

"I was wondering where my girlfriend disappeared to."

Sophia looked back at her.

"...Really?"

"Really."

She stepped closer.

"They're nice."

"They were being friendly."

"But that's all it was."

Sophia stayed quiet.

Y/N gently reached for her hand.

"I don't care who compliments me."

"I don't care who flirts with me."

"I only have eyes for one person."

Her cheeks turned pink.

"And she's standing right in front of me."

A tiny smile escaped before she could stop it.

"You always know what to say."

"No."

She laughed.

"I just tell the truth."

She finally looked into his eyes.

"You weren't interested?"

"Not even a little."

"What if they asked for your number?"

"I'd tell them my girlfriend would kill me."

Sophia laughed.

"I would not."

"You'd at least give me the silent treatment."

"...Maybe."

"There it is."

She nudged his shoulder.

"Stop teasing."

"I can't."

She intertwined their fingers.

"I like seeing you smile."

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

The noise of the venue faded into the background.

Sophia leaned her head lightly against her shoulder.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For getting jealous."

"You don't have to apologize."

"I'd probably feel the same if two idols kept complimenting you."

She smiled.

"Would you?"

"Oh, absolutely."

She laughed again.

"Good."

"Why's that?"

"Because then I'd know you actually care."

Y/N squeezed her hand.

"I've cared since the day we met."

"And that's not changing anytime soon."

A staff member poked their head into the hallway.

"KATSEYE! You're up in two minutes!"

The two quickly stepped apart before anyone could notice.

Sophia looked at her one last time.

"Love you."

Y/N smiled warmly.

"Love you too."

With the exchange of a quick kiss on the lips, they walked back toward the stage side by side.

No amount of compliments, attention, or admiration from anyone else could shake what they had.

Because at the end of the day, Y/N's heart always found its way back to Sophia.

The studio lights from filming the MV still felt burned into your mind even days later.

You remembered how the girls had surrounded you in the practice room when the idea first came up.

Missy had barely finished explaining the concept before the others exploded.

“Missy please,” Daniela had practically begged, clasping her hands together dramatically. “You cannot keep hiding her like this.”

“She’s literally built like superman,” Sophia added, pointing at you like you were evidence in court. “The world deserves to see it.”

You had groaned, pulling your hoodie tighter.

“I’m not superman,” you muttered. “I’m just… me.”

Manon leaned over your shoulder with a teasing grin. “Exactly. And you are ridiculously strong.”

Missy eventually sighed, rubbing her temples.

“Fine... fine we can do it, if thats what you want.” she warned.

The girls immediately erupted in cheers.

And just like that, the decision was made.

Standing on set felt off more than usual

Not bad.

But not good either.

Your usual layering of oversized hoodies, baggy jackets, and loose sweats were gone. The outfit still fit the concept, skirts and dresses and all, but you had a no sleeve t-shirt this time. For the first time since joining Katseye, you felt exposed.

But as you were quietly in your thoughts, you could already hear the girls hyping you up.

“Look at her!” Lara said dramatically, clapping. “Our secret weapon.”

“You’re going to break the internet,” Megan added.

You rolled your eyes, trying to hide the nervous smile creeping onto your face.

“Please don’t say that.”

But they kept going.

“Oh no,” Daniela said, shaking her head. “We are saying that.”

The phone slowly lowered into your lap.

“Hey…” she said softly.

No response.

Daniela sat up from her bed across the room.

But your voice didn’t sound fine.

Sophia leaned forward. “What did they say?”

You hesitated before quietly handing her the phone.

The room went silent as she scrolled.

Then—

“What the fuck?” she muttered.

Daniela grabbed the phone next.

Her eyebrows shot up.

“Oh absolutely not.”

Manon sat up immediately. “What?”

Daniela turned the screen toward her.

Manon’s expression darkened.

“You’re shitting me right.”

You tried to brush it off.

“It’s just comments,” you mumbled. “People are allowed to think stuff.”

But your voice cracked slightly.

And that was enough.

Lara immediately moved from her bed and sat next to you.

She gently grabbed your hand.

“Hey.”

You stared at the blanket.

“You worked so hard for this,” she continued softly. “You trained for years. You’re strong, talented, kind… and they think one comment section gets to define you?”

You shrugged again, but your eyes looked glassy.

“I knew this was a mistake. I knew this would never fit in. ”

Daniela sat beside you too.

“ Fit in...?” she repeated in disbelief. “Cariño, you were always in the group regardless of what you have of how you look like.”

Sophia nodded aggressively.

“Why does a comment section get to dictate you life on its own.”

Manon leaned over the bed frame.

"Those fuckers don't know what their talking about” she scoffed. “They’re loud, not right.”

You stayed quiet.

The sadness was still there.

Like a sun dimmed behind clouds.

Then Megan suddenly grabbed her phone.

Standing in the green room waiting for the concert was quite overwhelming.

You, being one of the members of KATSEYE, had always found solace in listening to music right before concerts. Today was no exception.

Your headphones sat over your ears while the muffled sound of the roaring crowd echoed through the walls. Even through the thick doors, you could hear the fans chanting.

You leaned back against the couch, oversized white shirt draping down to your mid-thigh and your usual baggy grey sweats hanging loosely from your hips.

Just how you liked it.

Across the room the other members were buzzing with energy.

“Water guns are going to make this concert insane,” Megan said excitedly while inspecting one of the bright neon blasters that were being used for the concert later.

“You’re going to start chaos,” Sophia huffed out with giggles.

“I start chaos?” Megan pointed the toy gun at her dramatically. “Please. I create memories.”

“Memories of us getting yelled at by management,” Daniela added with a grin.

You chuckled quietly to yourself, pulling your headphones down around your neck.

That’s when Manon walked over.

She looked you up and down slowly.

The mic was still near her mouth when she muttered:

Daniela grinned mischievously.

“I am NOT jealous,” Manon snapped quickly.

The crowd screamed at the drama.

You stepped closer to her teasingly.

“Really?”

Manon leaned close, voice low so only you could hear.

“You are sleeping in my room tonight,” she said calmly.

You blinked.

“That sounds threatening.”

“It is.”

She grabbed your wrist gently but firmly.

Then turned to the crowd with a bright idol smile.

“Anyway everyone!! Did you enjoy the surprise reveal?!”

The arena erupted.

Behind the stage lights, Manon leaned closer again and whispered:

“You are never hiding that again.”

You grinned.

“…we’ll see.”

Manon narrowed her eyes.

The fans were screaming.

Phones were recording.

And somewhere online, the clips of KATSEYE’s secret buff member were already starting to go viral.

You hated being sick. All you muscles that were trained from years of calisthenics and soccer were currently on fire from being sick for the last 24 hours.

Being sick was a rare occurrence in your sake. You never got sick, wether playing the rain, playing in the snow, and running through the rain.

But now your body felt heavy and sweaty. Your head throbbed, your throat hurt every time you swallowed or virtually breathed, your skin sweaty and dry at the same, and all in one second you were freezing and burning the next second. Every time you tried to sit up, your muscles protested like you had just finished a brutal leg day.

You reached for your phone when it buzzed against your nightstand.

Lara 🤍: Baby are you awake? You didn’t text me good morning. Are you mad at me? y/n?

You stared at the screen, eyes unfocused. Typing felt impossible at this time. So in doing so, you locked your phone and rolled onto your side trying to fall back asleep

Inevitably another buzz had broken up the silence of your room.

Lara 🤍: We have practice in 2 hours but I can come over before. Did something happen? You’re scaring me.

You didn’t open them. You couldn’t. It wasn’t that you were ignoring her—you just didn’t have the strength to explain how weak you felt. You hated being seen like this. You were the strong one. The tall one. The one who carried her bridal style just because you could.

The phone kept lighting up.

Lara 🤍: Why are you leaving me on delivered? If you’re upset just tell me. y/n answer me please.

Then nothing. Somewhat grateful for the silence again, shuffling through the fluffy sheet you tried to go to sleep again.

Hours passed in a feverish blur until you heard the front door downstairs open.

"Baby?" Lara questioned throughout the house. Searching for you is easy, considering you stature, but right now, this task felt impossible.

Your brows furrowed trying to figure out who in your house currently.

Until you heard footsteps. Fast ones approaching you room. Not having the strength to check or virtually go out of bed you stayed there, just pulling the blanket further.

She shot you a look. “You look like a kicked puppy.”

You tried to sit up, but your vision swayed. Before you could argue, she was already pushing you back gently.

“Stop trying to be strong for two seconds,” she muttered, brushing hair from your damp forehead. “You didn’t answer me all morning. I thought you were mad. Or… I don’t know.”

You avoided her eyes.

“I just didn’t want you to see me like this.”

Her expression changed—hurt, then understanding. “You think I only like you when you’re carrying me around and being the tough one?”

Despite everything, you let out a weak huff of laughter.

She disappeared for a moment and came back with a glass of water and medicine. She helped you sit up, your much larger frame dwarfing her as she steadied you carefully.

“Easy, giant,” she teased softly.

You leaned against her without meaning to. Even sick, you were taller, broader—muscles still defined beneath your loose shirt—but right now you felt small.

She stayed. Wiped your face with a cool towel. Forced you to drink. Adjusted your blankets. When you started shivering, she climbed halfway onto the bed, wrapping her arms around your torso.

“You’re not allowed to go no contact when you’re sick,” she mumbled into your shoulder. “I get worried. And mad. Mostly worried.”

“Sorry,” you whispered.

Later, when practice time rolled around, she checked your temperature again.

“You’re coming with me,” she decided.

“You’re not staying here alone.”

You grumbled but didn’t fight her. She practically bullied you into a hoodie and sweatpants, helping you down the stairs. The sight of tiny Lara supporting her tall, muscular girlfriend would’ve been funny if you weren’t so dizzy.

Every time in the car, when you hit a bumped, you winced out of pain. Lara could only hold onto your thigh and mutter soft apologies.

At the studio, the members of Katseye immediately noticed.

“Y/n, sit down!” Yoonchae softly muttering afraid you might collapse

All the girls were leading you to the couch, but only Lara kept a tight grip on you. As you sank onto the couch, Lara hovered beside you like a guard dog.

“She ignored me all morning,” Lara said, still slightly annoyed but clearly shaken. “I thought she was mad at me.”

You rolled your eyes weakly. “I was dying actually.”

Lara flicked your forehead gently. “Don’t say that.”

Megan handed you a blanket from the costume rack. Manon now with gentle ease brought you tea. Soon you were surrounded by worried voices and gentle touches.

" Who would have thought, such a giant would be taken out by a common fever?" Manon teased

You would’ve shot back something sarcastic, but Lara squeezed your hand.

“Doesn’t matter how strong she is,” she said softly. “She’s still my baby.”

Summary: In one of the behind the scenes videos for tour, the girls "accidently" film your working out in the background. Exposing your no so secret muscles to all the Eyekons, which they freak out about.

Looking back at it now, you seemed to no mind all this hype around your muscular presences. Before all this happened you were known as the soft and vibrant member in the group, bringing out the aesthetic vibe of the group.

It started out, like any other day before tour. Schedules ramping up, stress building tension building, and long grueling ours practicing vocals, your dances and your media presences. In all this you always found solace and comfort in working out. Hence, you having such a muscular build.

So after what felt like an eternity of practice, you finally managed to slip out the practice room, go to your room, and slip on some workout clothes, not knowing the consequences later....

The indoor gym your company had felt like a second home to you. You were always there day in and day out. Working out each individual muscle in your body felt like an accomplishment more than a burden. Now, slipping into the gym, you felt like you were being watched — but you didn’t mind. That was your job after all.

You tossed your hoodie onto the bench and rolled your shoulders, the familiar scent of rubber flooring and metal calming the static buzzing in your head. Tour rehearsals had been brutal lately. Five hours of choreography, vocal drills, camera blocking… and smiling through all of it.

Here, you didn’t have to perform.

You adjusted your grip on the barbell and exhaled.

“Let’s go,” you murmured to yourself, lifting.

The metal clinked softly as you racked the weight again. A thin sheen of sweat coated your arms, tracing the definition of muscles you had built in stolen hours like this.

You didn’t notice the gym door sliding open.

Voices drifted in.

“Wait wait wait — the lighting in here is actually so good,” Lara whispered.

“We’re filming behind the scenes, not a workout vlog,” Megan laughed quietly.

Daniela’s voice chimed in, “Shhh, just keep rolling. Fans love candid footage.”

The girls had already started filming on their phones, moving through the gym as they chatted.

Manon swung the camera toward Sophia and Yoonchae, who were debating protein bars.

“I’m telling you, chocolate peanut butter is superior,” Sophia insisted.

“That one tastes like chalk,” Yoonchae shot back.

They never noticed you in the mirror behind them.

You were focused, earbuds in, finishing a set of pull-ups. Your back muscles tightened and released with controlled precision.

“Okay but imagine tour snacks ranking video—” Megan began, turning the camera slightly.

The angle shifted.

You filled the background.

Unintentional. Unfiltered.

Unmistakable.

“Wait… is that—” Daniela squinted at the screen but got distracted when Lara bumped into her shoulder.

“Don’t ruin the shot!”

The girls dissolved into laughter and kept filming, eventually leaving the gym without a second thought.

You finished your workout, wiped your face with a towel, and slipped back upstairs, unaware of the clip sitting quietly in their camera roll.

Two days later.

Sophia burst into the lounge holding her phone.

“GUYS.”

Lara looked up. “Why do you sound like the internet just broke?”

“It might have.”

She hit play.

The behind-the-scenes tour video had just gone live.

Clips of rehearsals. Outfit fittings. Late-night snack runs.

Then the gym scene appeared.

And there you were.

In the background.

Arms flexed.

Back defined.

Sweat glistening under fluorescent lights.

Unknowingly serving.

The comments were moving so fast they blurred.

WHY DOES Y/N KEEP FLASHING US???

WHO IS THAT IN THE BACK???

EXCUSE ME Y/N???

THE MUSCLES?? HELLO???

WE WERE LIED TO. SOFT MEMBER WHERE????

PLEASE LET ME HIT Y/N

Daniela covered her mouth. “OH MY GOD.”

Megan fell backward onto the couch. “WE DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE.”

Lara zoomed in on the paused frame. “Her arms look carved. Like… this is illegal.”

Manon whispered, “We accidentally exposed her final form.”

Yoonchae was already scrolling through edits. “Too late. TikTok has discovered.”

Sophia turned the phone toward you slowly.

You blinked at the screen.

Then at them.

Then back at the screen.

“…why are there 2 million likes on a clip of me doing pull-ups?”

Silence.

Then Megan snorted.

“You broke the internet.”

You groaned and dragged a hand down your face. “I literally just went to work out.”

Daniela grinned. “Congratulations. Your ‘not-so-secret’ muscles are now public property.”

Your phone buzzed nonstop in your pocket.

Group chats exploding.

Fan edits multiplying.

Clips zoomed, slowed, replayed with dramatic music.

You leaned back into the couch, staring at the ceiling.

“…I’m never going to the gym again.”

Lara shook her head. “Oh no. Now you have to go more.”

Manon smirked. “Fan service.”

You rolled your eyes, but a reluctant smile tugged at your lips.

Somewhere online, Eyekons continued losing their collective minds.

And for the first time since tour prep began, the stress in your chest felt lighter.

Because for once, you hadn’t been trying to be seen.

And somehow, that’s exactly when they noticed you.

Summary: After a late practice, all sweaty and exhausted you took off your shift revealing a tight and revealing tank top that shows off your muscular and buff figure. In which beforehand everyone thought your were some soft nerdy book worm.

It was an ordinary practice session like any other else, but after five grueling hours of nonstop dancing and constant yelling from the choreographer, it had seemed you were in some trance-like state.

After the choreographer yelled for a break — one that felt like it took an eternity to arrive — you found refuge laying back against the cold mirror set in the corner of the room as if it were your lifeline.

Right now, you and your sisters were sprawled across the studio floor, every breath and huff making your body grow hotter by the minute. The air felt thick, heavy with sweat and effort. Shoes lay kicked off in random directions, water bottles rolled lazily across the floor, and the faint hum of the speakers filled the otherwise exhausted silence.

So, in doing so, you made the only logical decision.

You stripped your shift off for the rest of practice, letting it fall beside you as you leaned your head back against the glass.

Sophia, in the other corner, seemed to notice your dilemma. Strutting toward you with precision and practiced ease — like she hadn’t just danced for five straight hours — she planted a cold water bottle next to your feet.

“Drink before you pass out,” she said, voice soft but firm.

At the sight of the gesture, your chest, filled with stress and tightness, loosened slightly. You replied with a soft nod. No words could replace these quiet moments. Only understanding. Only presence.

If only these moments could last a little longer.

The stillness was cut short by an abrupt clap.

“OKAY PEOPLE, LET’S MOVE IT, LAST STRETCH OF PRACTICE!!”

A unified groan rippled across the room.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Daniela muttered from the floor.

“I swear he feeds off our suffering,” Lara groaned, dragging herself upright.

With a tired stretch and a quiet groan of your own, you pushed yourself up.

With one fluid movement, you discarded your shirt, leaving only a soaked grey tank top clinging to your skin, the fabric darkened with sweat and glowing faintly under the studio lights. Your shoulders rolled as you stretched, muscles shifting beneath the thin material.

Picking up the water bottle, you chugged it down with practiced ease, the cold water shocking your overheated system back to life.

Across the room, Sophia was regrouping when she heard a soft noise — something between a gasp and a choked groan.

It came from Megan.

Sophia glanced over. Megan’s eyes were wide, her mouth slightly open.

“…what,” Megan breathed.

Daniela followed her gaze — then froze.

Lara blinked rapidly. “Wait… since when…?”

Manon’s stretch halted mid-reach. “Oh.”

Now curious, Sophia turned in the direction their attention had locked onto.

Her entire body went still.

You stood near the mirror, unaware of the attention, rolling your shoulders and stretching your arms overhead. The damp tank top clung to you, outlining toned arms, defined shoulders, and a strength none of them had truly noticed before beneath oversized hoodies and loose practice tees.

The quiet girl.

The bookworm.

The one who always stayed in the corner reviewing choreography on her tablet.

Now standing there glowing under fluorescent lights like she had stepped out of a training montage.

Megan whispered, “I thought she was fragile.”

Daniela let out a breath. “That is not fragile.”

Lara nudged Manon. “We’ve been living with a secret weapon.”

Sophia folded her arms, a slow smirk forming. “So that’s why you carry the equipment crates alone.”

You lowered your arms, finally noticing the silence.

“…Why is everyone staring at me?” you asked, confused.

Megan pointed weakly. “You’ve been hiding muscles.”

You blinked. “They were always here?”

Daniela laughed. “Not under those giant sweaters!”

Lara added, “Girl, you look like you could bench press the choreographer.”

“That’s tempting,” you muttered.

Sophia snorted.

Another clap echoed through the studio.

“POSITIONS!!”

The moment shattered.

The girls scrambled back into formation, though the energy had shifted — lighter now, charged with teasing curiosity.

As the music queued, Megan leaned toward you and whispered, “Still the same quiet nerd though, right?”

You gave a small smile. “Always.”

Sophia bumped your shoulder as she passed. “Good. But maybe warn us next time before revealing your final form.”

The beat dropped.

And together, exhausted, amused, and newly energized, you moved into the final stretch.
