Something happened when we moved to a dimly lit bar and had shots that made our eyebrows raise and our lips lock together for the first time.

Something happened when he gave me his arm to walk down London Bridge, only to stop his smooth pace to twirl me in for a kiss under a moonlit sky.

Something happened when the music called our names, making us dance entwined until the late hours of the night; giddy from the touch of each other.

Something happened when distance only made the heart grow fonder. When distance nurtured late night calls, endless storytelling and the sweetest melodies.

What is that something that happened? A moment of magic. A moment to treasure. A moment to look forward to all over again.

Where has my path gone?

I try to swish away the dirt and the leaves to get a glimpse of where this journey is taking me but I can’t. The mud is too thick, the carefully carved out path is not to be seen, it’s almost buried.
