Maybe most obvious are the accents of silver that Zeno's wears, the earring, the pocket and collar chain, and even the frames of his signature glasses. In contrast, ReMake Wesker doesn't even wear a watch. Their respective outfits also do a really good job in evoking the same motif, while looking like they come from different tax brackets. White is an expensive color because it's pretty darn tedious to maintain and clean. Re4R Wesker's outfit certainly looks well made and tailored, but it's inherently more practical. He'd blend in in most offices, while Zeno looks like he owns the building. Lastly, I love how much thought capcom puts into the weapons their character use. As has been pointed out, Zeno's weapon being an antique named redemption is pretty suggestive from a character motivation standpoint (@sepulchres-light wrote some great meta: here) but it's also interesting from a perspective of the resources available to Zeno. It's again not a practical weapon and probably takes a lot more to maintain, but it's also very beautiful and a testament to his power that he can afford to use/carry such a weapon. I won't go too much into Wesker's Samurai Edge because it's been talked about a lot, but it's telling that it values function over appearance, and its value to Wesker in entirely sentimental (recall he pulls it out exclusively to confront Chris in RE5). I don't want to suggest that Zeno is somehow shallow for his display of wealth, but perhaps invoke more of a gilded cage. (There is an interesting use of golden light in RE9 overall, especially within ARK.) The original Wesker chafed under Umbrella's control, and I think a lot of his arc was him trying to regain his autonomy (albeit he went about it in arguably the worst possible way - both for himself and anyone unfortunate enough to enter his orbit.) Zeno on the other hand seems far less of a wildcard - and he has his silver trinkets to show for his obedience. It's an interesting contrast and makes me wonder whether the original Wesker is an outlier, fated to rebel, or whether given enough time Zeno would follow his path.

idc if Zeno lowkey a bit pathetic i loved him.... him and his like 15 mins of screentime. His design is so beautiful i see him or think of his design and start tearing up. not ok. White hair and a single ear piercing? capcom you spoil me.
