a/n: feeling very emotional from seeing din and grogu in their little cabin!

The dry heat of Nevarro is almost unbearable today, and you’re only thankful that the clouds are doing their job at providing some staggered shade on your trek back home. Humming to yourself that song that weaved its way into your head after hearing it at the market today, the little, tan house that’s become your landmark comes into view; only half a mile left to go.

But as you approach the house closer, you hear the vague sound of clattering from within. A dim light shines from the window of what you’d assume is the kitchen, and you think you hear a man’s voice from inside.

Your steps grow cautious; this house has always been empty.

Your first thought is raiders taking cover for the night before going into town (or making their way over to your plot), though you hope that’s not the case.

At about twenty feet away from the front door, you can see that there isn’t much laying around the front of the house other than a few old sacks of belongings. With the contrast of the humble little yard and pond, it definitely looks… odd.

Taking in a breath of composure, you walk quietly up to the front door, and listen inside for a few moments. To your surprise, the man’s voice is soothing, not dangerous, and there’s soft music playing, too. Your curiosity is getting the best of you.

After tapping your knuckles against the door a few, gentle times, you step back in await.

You hear the music stop, footsteps approach from the other side, and your heart rate spikes as the door slides open, revealing a tall, broad, human - head to toe in beskar armor.

“Uh, hi,” your voice comes off with less than a fraction of the confidence you’d hoped it had.

“Do I know you?” the voice asks, raspy and low through the modulator on his helmet.
