I mean look at that silly little face. There's not a single functioning braincell behind those eyes.

1, Todd calling him a demon:

In the scene where Ester tries to drive the cult away but fails, Todd says “little girl, are you trying to scare us away so your demon friend will stay?” Or something along those lines.

Tho that is the only time anyone from the cult calls Abaddon a demon but they don’t say what else he can be.

2, his “true form”:

In episode 4, Abaddon talks about how he was trapped (also I need to add how adorable it is that he refuses to leave the property because he wants hell to come get him, I honestly believe he’s just a kid) in his vessel.

We also get to see a shadow of his “true form”

But along with the many “titles”, he might have many forms, as there is a drawing seen on the fridge in a few shots with a different demon.

This could also be him, a different demon or just a random design they threw in.

All’n all, the entirety of his “true form” is kind of a grey area.

Yes yes plenty of contradictions which may make it more possible that if he weren't a demon before than there was some sort of tradition stage from angel to demon, alternatively his ranking may not be quite as high as he may have us or others believe.

1. Its actually not too surprising the cultists (or rather just Todd) would refer to Abaddon as simply only a demon, as it is the identity Abaddon abides by and he's not quite a god or all powerful diety of worship you'd expect most cults to follow, as he needs the cult to provide him power whilst giving nothing in return. Of course his connection to the Freelings complicated this and therefore there's no desire for such a one sided transaction from Abaddon's side.

2. I do believe the two forms shown in both the shadow and the drawing could be one of three possibilities

- They are both his forms as throughout a lot of religions the appearance of beings beyond our understanding are known to carry multiple different appearances never remaining stagnant throughout stories told

- the drawing is simply drawn by someone else and is just their idea of what his demon form looked like

And so much time... But at the same time not enough

From what has been shown and told, Abaddon doesn’t have a good relationship with a lot of demons.

With the entire scene with Mortoth and rabisu who had “always been mean to him” and one of Rabisu’s offspring calling him “of the Gerasenes” which comes from, not only from a real place (historical place in Israel) but also the manuscripts of the gospel of Matthew”
