Hallo! I haven't given them official artworks yet, but here's some Q&A screenshots from my IG:

Zari - I intentionally keep Zari as a mystery OC with little to no art as a fun way to use her lore. She doesn't show up a lot around campus and is quickly overlooked as a normal Katdynami NPC; Lia and Yan treat her as a precious easter egg whenever they find her quietly coding somewhere XDD

So, get this. You know how Lilia's cooking is... well, you know awful, and he always wants to make it super nutritious.

I believe the only people who could actually tolerate and enjoy his cooking are pregnant women. Because, you know, pregnancy can bring out all sorts of cravings and food combinations.

So a pregnant woman happily eating his food while, Malleus, Silver and Sebeka, looking at her appalled, but then just sigh and sum it down to pregnancy cravings

Also how did Lacy feel about his cooking? You said that she changed her name, what was her original name?

Oh. That's a headcanon I am willing to ride with, because ngl, pregnant women can have the most interesting of cravings and sudden tolerance to foods others would find appalling XDD

Regarding Lacey's thoughts about his cooking? She doesn't mind. She'd eat it without any comment XDD, though back then in their married days, she did most of the cooking.

Also a weird ask but how would DOC react to a female Yuu? Would DOC’s headmistress try drag her to her own school or smth?

I keep forgetting to keep uploading the dorm guides, my bad TT

Hi! When I posted my DOC-exclusive classes (that yeah pretty much is normal like in irl unis), that's already considering the given baseline magic classes that's available in NRC. The students study the same magic-related classes as those in Night Raven College would (Practical Magic, Potionology, etc.), WITH THE ADDITIONAL NON-MAGICAL CLASSES specific to each dorm.

However, the dorms do infact still study magical classes unique to them, it's just not labelled among the DSMs since they might not be relevant to everyone within the dorm. Some students may need to take them if its related to their overall major, some may not need to.

Magical classes include:

- Coeurmaise: Classes that focus on magic used to make people admit the truth in trials, securing affidavits/evidence or other legal documents, and studying the laws regarding the use of magic in crimes or everyday life (Arcane Law)

- Aridmane: Classes that teach on Healing methods and use of herbs/materials, as well as magic-assisted combat/defense

- Selsiren: Classes that teach advanced Practical magic to help in organizing and managing errands, magic to assist in cooking/baking, classes to proofread and catch magic-assisted scams and contractual traps

- Zaharis: Mostly classes on glamor magic to boost performance and brilliance, such as fireworks, light and color changes, enhancing or minimizing sound and such

- Miroblumme: there isn't much magic-related study in this dorm anymore and the poison-making mastery has been abolished here for quite a while now, with the dorm turning to standard reform. Miroblumme has instead turned to physical craftsmanship and mastery of beauty.

- Katdynami: As technomantics is in the name, there's plenty classes where students learn and invent ways to involve magic in the sciences and the hardwares. A lot of room for just free experimenting and stuff.

- Eglanthia: There's classes on how magic can be used to restore and preserve ancient artifacts and material, as well as concentrated study of the History of magic and how it was viewed in various communities and cultures across Twisted Wonderland.

So sorry that this took so long. I eventually forgot to check or remember my inbox. I got a bit fatigued with the posting, and I probably won't be as active here until much later in my break. I have been more active in my IG lore drops but I'll be posting my guides here soon.

CHARACTER RAMBLE SERIES #02: Mazzy Prairie

1| BASIC INFORMATION AND SUMMARY

Mazzy is the steady and easily approachable hyena sophomore of Aridmane, whom students still respect despite her no longer being the Vice Housewarden. She's usually occupied with schoolwork and errands, but that doesn't mean you can't walk up to her for a chat or ask for her input.

Despite her background as the heiress to her parents' food business, which boomed late into her childhood, she can be described by her peers as grounded and unassuming, and is littered with accessories more associated with children than with a seventeen-year-old.

2| BACKSTORY (Trigger Warning: Implications of SA)

Mazzy and her family were originally natives of Sunset Savanna, where they lived in the Slums. Her parents were bold enough to keep pushing for their business ideas, so she would often be left with her little brothers in their grandparents' care while her parents were busy making money in the Shaftlands.

It was a life where comfort was scarce, but it was home. Her early childhood involved having to help around the house and learn to adapt strategies with her grandmother— different ways to light the stove or keep clothes available for wear, foraging what others call weeds, keeping the smaller kids out of trouble. In vacant hours once the chores were done, she would run off to make friends and crush on this one cute guy across the road. Everything was okay, even if it wasn't exactly comfortable. It was tolerable. Endurable.

But then her parents actually made it work. Their business actually made a profit. She and her siblings were plucked away to move, while their grandparents stubbornly stayed behind, only requesting aid when possible. That should've been their perfect rags-to-riches fantasy made flesh, but it wasn't; at least not for Mazzy.

....

City life and being among the born-wealthy wasn't kind. She had the title after her parents' hard work; she was now among their ranks, but it felt empty. Suffocating. Her parents kept chasing luxury and the next figure, and her brothers were too young to grasp the weight of the change, so she went with what she always learned— adapting.

She tried to catch up and live the role she now had; she really did. She attended parties, nights out in the glassy clubs and neon-lit bars, trips, escapades... but too bad that being in the higher circles meant the wrong people were always nearer than she'd think.

The next thing she knew, she was stuck in scandal loops meant to get personal and jokeful, which would end up with their parents and their fat wallets also being in those loops.

Pieces of her were gone, ripped in the chaos made by mere teenagers with metal cards who wanted a thrill for 'love'.

Her parents tried to console her, but conflicts began as soon as she admitted she knew she didn't want to be part of it anymore. She no longer wanted that life, the false comfort that came at the cost of peace.

And she came home one afternoon, took one look at her baby brothers, and realized they didn't know the wreck of the world around them yet. She didn't want them to know at all; Mazzy wanted to keep that spark of childhood still in them, and it was going to die if she didn't do anything. She just decided she'd raise them herself, with what she knew. How she learned... from home. Home.

...she missed home. It wasn't the one they were in then. It was back there, in Sunset Savanna.

Before she knew it, she had already taken up the role of raising her brothers and taking them home on free days. Her parents supported her grandparents with generous allowances anyway; she might as well convince them she was just adding to those allowances with visits. To keep going back to Sunset Savanna for visits, even if it meant flying or travelling regularly against her parents' approval, was a sacrifice she was willing to make.

3| TWIST: VITANI (LION KING II: SIMBA'S PRIDE)

I also have never watched the original Disney animated film of The Lion King II and only have a vague understanding through YouTube clips TT

(Ramble: I did plan to create Mazzy as a lioness beastwoman, but I already had three lionesses, and I wanted to see how much further I could stretch Vitani's concept. I decided on emphasizing how Vitani is originally on the side her family was in, but ultimately chooses to deviate and side with what was noble. I also wanted to add in real-life details in the lifestyle she has, the contrast in perspective and decision-making of people based on upbringing, and the social class they were in during childhood stages. BY THE WAY: This is by no means to make a general criticism of all teenagers in the upper socioeconomic classes, but I am simply portraying that these kinds of conflicts emerge for some.)

4| THE DOWNSHIFTER

"Mazzy? She is definitely a reliable one. You'd think she's too busy to be bothered, but she always looks over with that wagging little tail and dangling pins and trinkets from everywhere. It's like she's a walking box of crayons from a preschool. ...not that it wouldn't fit her, anyway. I think that's the kind of atmosphere she wants to show in the first place." ~ Miah, when asked about Mazzy.

Mazzy willingly opted out of the Vice Housewarden role for Noa to fill, simply because she knew her priorities were to keep herself available for the kids' sake. She is currently focused on studying Education, usually found outside getting to know the local kids or shopping for supplies and study materials for the folk back home.

Her parents were definitely not joyful about her new lifestyle and career choice, but they begrudgingly agreed to keep funding her allowance and assets after she convinced them that the alternative was worse: "Would you prefer I keep blasting your hard-earned money on hanging out with those jokes and end up in court again, or that I'm using it on people back home?" She once challenged them with her tail thumping on her seat as a warning.

Her break routine usually involves taking out her brothers to have fun and have lunch dates, and going home to Sunset Savanna to catch up and help her grandparents and neighbors.

5| DYNAMIC WITH RUGGIE BUCCHI; FIRST TRY-AGAIN

Of course, Ruggie initially saw her as another person to latch onto for free treats and other benefits. It didn't help either that Mazzy was willingly letting him come along to her usual student errands and get lunch/snacks along the way. Though he was sus that she bordered on naivety in letting him get free food off her, they still had a laidback acquaintanceship of sorts where they also got along because they shared some things in common (both were hyenas and sophomores, grew up in the same environment, had a passion for going all out on food).

But things changed when she started offering him to come along on her more personal errands. Ruggie now comes with her to shop for groceries and snacks to bring home, buying books and school supplies she uses for teaching, and checking on the local kids on Sage's Island if they were still faring well.

Bit by bit, Ruggie was getting to know this girl and remembered the details enough to hesitate about his skepticism. How she actually acknowledges kids and folk as people, not projects to make herself feel noble and moral. How she goes out of her way and strategizes her schedule. How she's approachable and fun to her peers on campus. How sometimes she would also yap about street-smarts and survival skills she learned from her grandma and still applies in small daily moments.

He realizes he likes her when Leona calls him out and clocks him. Oomf.

It will take him a while to address things due to uncertainty, but each time they hung out without the truth being admitted just intensified his feelings. He eventually confessesat a food court while on the way back to NRC. Though she still has some hesitation trusting guys romantically due to her history, she would decide to give him a chance to see things through and let each other try.

And I hope they'll heal from the amount of things Fowler has done to them. And seek proper help for what they've been through from the past

I'm just gonna say it right now, I really hope Fowler isn't their headmistress anymore when she gets overthrown by a much nicer much better headmistress.

Whenever I think about Frowler, I think of her as the goddess Circe, but a much easier version. Circe hates/doesn't trust men because they did bad things to her. She is very protective of her nymphs because she sees them as her daughters, and she doesn't want her daughters to be hurt by men, because after what happened with her experience with men, it caused her to be wary of men.

I know we don't know anything about Fowler and her backstory,but that's how I see her. An evil, more sadistic and narcissistic version of the goddess Circe

Oh I love this! I really appreciate you and I'd love to hear more of your thoughts, since I also love to yap and ramble about lore <3 Feel free to drop more of your thoughts in my inbox; I'd love to keep talking with y'all! Unfortunately, Fowler isn't disappearing anytime soon and won't be overthrown either. It's not the intention in my storyline to have a hero's act of confronting her and taking her down. Instead, my intention is to delve into a lot of other topics and concepts regarding her and the rest of the DOC cast.

But you're right and I love the contrast you made between her and Circe. The thing about Fowler is that, unlike Circe, who has reasons for her actions—namely, to protect her nymphs—and is therefore justifiable and understandable as a character, Fowler has no noble cause or motive behind her actions.

She has no backstory to justify her prejudice and emotional abuse towards her students. I intended for her to be a prehistoric, immortal creature that shows that just because you're the equivalent of a deity doesn't mean you're automatically noble and benevolent. Fowler is fickle, jaded, and deeply extremist in response to the generations of conflict and change. She saw centuries of war, torment, abuse, conflict, and despair, and actively chooses to further fuel the flame.

Does this mean the students (my OCs) are hopeless? No. Even before I ultimately decided to drop my fanfic plans (I initially planned for this all to be an anthology where we explore how all the ships develop, break, and rekindle simultaneously, but so far I can only handle the mental and time demands of drawing and occasional lore drops for now), the plan was to delve in the various concepts and endings of surviving and learning from this toxic mentor-mentee dynamic.

Please do. The woman has done more crimes, and she's unapologetic. She's malicious, and she isn't sorry. And that's not just about sending Naila to STYX and nearly getting her killed or also being the main reason why Miah and Leona couldn't reunite for those eight years.

If you want, here is a bigger list of her crimes against the girls (and the boys) thus far:

She handpicks her Housewardens regardless of their consent and willingness to take the role, not because of their 'hidden potential' (though it's partly a reason), but because their trauma fits her narrative for each dorm. She wants the dorms to be led by those who LIVED each of the philosophies she wants to firebrand into their heads.

The reason the girls can't argue with her is that she still manages to come off as right at the end of the day. She reminds them of their upbringings, the logic, justifying the need to be untrusting skeptics.

Fowler intentionally plants insecurity and despair in the girls so they do not trust the boys and allow themselves to fall in love. Because the internship arc progresses? I will give you a list of her further crimes against the plot.

She will be the main proponent of why it costs Shai a lot of pain to fully trust Floyd. Shai already pressures herself every day to do things right and be the child worthy of the favors (she's under scholarship and is sponsored by a mentor). When Floyd starts to grow on her and she sees Floyd starting to give and want more closure than their usual bickering, Fowler would smile and remind her that guys like Floyd are already an easy red flag; to let him in and be heartbroken will be her fault entirely and prove herself a screwup "Should I otherwise let you fool yourself into loving someone who will leave you once he has you? You know who he is, what he does... what makes you different other than the fact you're strange?"

She is why Maisie will criticize herself harder once she realizes she has a thing for Jack. Maisie is already a cynic and has no hope for attaining genuine, happy relationships. When Jack comes around, gets honest with his approach and company, and makes her hope that someone matches her depth, integrity, and willingness to be in a transparent and real pursuit of each other, Fowler reminds her that she is a cynical philosopher meant to be utterly alone, someone whose mind was too complex, even for him. Fowler convinces her that he'd soon give up than actually try to meet her mind where it was.

She is why Bristle is terrified of fully showing her genuine quirks to Jade. Bristle already cuts herself in two every day, pretending to be an elegant and presentable person when she really loves to be wild and free and eccentric. She thought Jade was a safe space to be herself once he showed interest in her true side as a nature lover and silly goose with ADHD... but Fowler will remind her of who he is. She tells Bristle that thinking he would appreciate her unbecoming nature was hilarious and fictional, which causes her to feel even worse about herself.

She is why Yasmin is slowly in despair about her worthiness to be loved. Yasmin is deeply, achingly insecure about her romantic appeal, since she is a friend to everyone but no one has ever pursued her romantically. Fowler slowly instills this despair that it is the fate of those who shine the brightest to be utterly alone, just like the Sun.

She is why Noa still doubts love is even real, even with Sebek being openly devoted. Noa has already been through a lot of toxic experiences and heartache, which becomes a set of weapons for Fowler to remind her of once she begins to think she can trust him. After all, Sebek is openly expressive and devoted, a quiet firestarter in Noa to think chivalry may not be dead after all. Fowler slams her with the idea that Sebek is also still selfish, and just because he does burn for Malleus doesn't guarantee he will burn for her. This wrecks Noa.

She is why Yan thinks she can never be wholly, shamelessly loved.

She is why Lacey refuses to be vulnerable with Lilia again.

She is a reason why Chion hates her own existence and restrains herself from wanting Malleus.

Fowler weaponizes the girls' trauma to glorify her own judgment. Like, imagine there is a 16-year-old literally scarred and still haunted by her experiences, and she just goes, 'Behold the wounds they cast upon your skin! They are animals, all of them, for what they have done to you! Join me, child, you shall learn from my wisdom and rise—"

I wrote Fowler with the intention of making a narcissist. A fickle immortal who preceded generations, saw the damage, and chose to tip her inner moral scale entirely in one direction. Her points do hit, and they help, but only to a certain extent. There's a point where you need to glean her words and only take what was wise in them.

Because as generous and benevolent as she thinks she is, and how she appears to be, she is someone willing to fuel the flame burning you down and cry out that someone else poured the gasoline. She will watch your tears and heartache and only tilt your chin up so you can see her smile,
