Love, we all make mistakes. You don't have to keep beating yourself up over this.

I’m learning to live with the hurt. I don’t let the darkness control me anymore. I won’t allow myself to be consumed like I was. I’ll wake up and I greet it like an old friend. I’ll go about my day - go for a run in the morning, make my coffee, then get to studying and classes or go to work or catch up on household tasks. I will romanticize the little moments - watching the run rise after I run, making a latte, doing my makeup. When the noise gets too loud I’ll pause, take a breath, and return to whatever it is that I was doing. I won’t let this pain control my every moment anymore. I’ll live my life and let it exist in the background, an inconsequential reminder of how far I’ve come.
