As instructed, this worker resolves common operating problems and may serve as an assistant operator working under close supervision or performing a portion of a more senior operator's work. Basic Qualifications: Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Digital Media and other's short courses.  12-13 years of experience. Desired skills: Demonstrated familiarity with Navy/Marine Corp IT system, architecture and infrastructure. Host Based Security System (HBSS) certification or experience. In-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas:  • Network monitoring tools  • Routing protocols  • Network design  • VLANs  • VPNs  • Net-Flow  • Packet capture technologies  • Hands-on network administration (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches)  Experience in process improvement, especially to shorten network incident lifecycle timelines.  Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and strong customer service experience.
